There is no doubt that gun chokes have a long and varied history in Lindon, Utah. As early as 1892, the town had ordinances outlawing the use of choke holds to detain suspects. In 1937, the state legislature passed a bill criminalizing the storage of firearms without a license. This law effectively outlawed choke hold techniques and made it an felony to possess or carry aKAO rifle or shotgun without having first obtained a license from the Utah Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Despite this ban, choke hold techniques continue to be used in police encounters today. In 2017, after video footage went viral of officers using chokeholds on an unarmed suspect in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mayor Jim Kenney issued an executive order barring city employees from using such tactics unless necessary under specific circumstances. The ordinance was met with backlash from many Lindon residents who argued that chokeholds are not only unconstitutional but also dangerous and effective at restraining suspects. Despite this public outcry against police brutality, several officers remain employed in Philadelphia’s policing force using chokehold techniques often without warrants or justification. Gun chokes have also been used offensively by individuals throughout their history. For example, one man who was arrested for shooting at another man with a handgun captured on tape bragging about how he could shoot people “like they were dogs” has been linked to numerous shootings over the years because he enjoyed choking victims until they passed out or stopped resisting. Chokehold attacks continue to occur even now; for example, one woman was recently choked unconscious after being pulled into her home by her husband while she slept during an argument about leaving him alone with their children (the wife woke up later safe and unharmed). While gun chokes may seem like ancient practices from another era, they still play an important role in contemporary society and can be used defensively or offensively depending on the situation

There are several types of gun choke available on the market, so it is important to select one that will best suit your needs and firearms. Here are some key considerations when choosing a choke: -Type of ammo - Some gun chokes allow certain calibers of ammo to be fired while others don't. Be sure to research which type of choke will work best with your particular firearm before you buy it. -Trigger pull - A choking device has an adjustable trigger guard that allows for different trigger pulls (4lb vs 10lb), which may affect how tightly it binds rounds. The population of Lindon peaked at around 10,000 in 1950, but has since declined significantly.
