It didn’t take long for LDSRA members to begin training potential defenders on how best to use their pistols for protection against attackers[6]. Over time, LDSRA members began importing more Firearms Protection Ordinance (FPO) compliant rifles from England [7], Finland [8], Canada [9], Sweden [10], Denmark [11], Austria-Hungary [12], Italy [13],[14],[15],[16]) as well as purchasing American made rifles through various arms dealers throughout Utah[17]. Eventually LDSRA members developed a complete arsenal consisting mostly FPO compliant handguns[18],[19],[20]. One sucharms dealer was J E Dugan & Sons who procured over 100 handguns for LDSRA between 1890-1920 inclusive[21][22]. In addition to handguns we also acquired several shotguns including 12 ga., 20 ga., .410ga., 7mm Remington Magnum caliber handgun rounds,[23],[24 ].
