Lehi is an unincorporated community located in Kane County, Utah, United States. It lies on the eastern edge of the town of Murray and is northeast of Clearfield. The community had a population of 527 according to the 2010 census. Lehi was named for Lehi, an ancient Hebrew city that was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar in 605 BC. The first Europeans to visit what is now Lehi were Mormon pioneers traveling through what is today Utah Territory in 1847. They called it "Nomah" because they saw a herd of oxen grazing thereabouts and believed that this place would become a center for their religion because it would be near where they could preach to the Indians. A post office was established at Nomah in 1851, and mail stopped arriving here until 1861 when Brigham Young ordered the construction of a new post office closer to the main settlement. In 1865, James Wride came here from Ogden with his family and built a cabin which still stands today as one of the earliest buildings in town. Population growth has continued throughout its history; however, much of this growth can be attributed to annexation by Clearfield during World War II when many people left Lehi for jobs in nearby Salt Lake City or other war-related activities outside town limits. Today, most residents are involved with various local businesses or government functions within Kane County or elsewhere within Utah or neighboring states

The first gun locks were invented in the 1600s. They consisted of a keyhole that opened and closed with a turn of a knob, and were used to secure firearms in the presence of others.

Lehi, Utah is a small town in the Wasatch Mountains of southern Utah. The population was 2,651 at the 2010 census. It is one of several towns located on the Great Salt Lake that were founded by Mormons during the early days of their movement to Utah. Lehi was named for Laman and Lemuel, two of the Seventy who accompanied Joseph Smith when he fled from Nauvoo, Illinois in 1846. The first Mormon settlements in what is now Lehi were made on November 6, 1847 by Brigham Young and his followers as they traveled westward from Nauvoo. The town was platted on October 15, 1849 by John D. Lee and James Wixom with land purchases from Captain Owen K. Judd and others who had arrived in wagon trains following President George Washington's recommendation for pioneers to settle in remote areas along the Great Salt Lake. The first school opened in Lehi on December 12, 1849 under the direction of David Whitmer Jr., son of David Whitmer Sr., a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) who had also left Nauvoo after being scolded by Joseph Smith for shaking a snakeskin around without permission). In 1850 Samuel Hales joined forces with John D. Lee to open a store and post office in what is today downtown LeHI while continuing development work at nearby Hillcrest Ranch which would become known as "the most important agricultural center east of Iowa." On February 14, 1850 President Brigham Young issued an proclamation announcing that all white males over 21 years old must begin answering military service within six months or face expulsion from the LDS Church; this led to increased immigration into LeHI due to fears that such stringent requirements would drive away Mormons unable or unwilling to serve their leaders. A new courthouse was built near Main Street and Prospect Avenue between 1860 and 1862 using lumber salvaged from an earlier building destroyed by fire; it served as both local government headquarters (1862-1864) and main courthouse until replaced by a new structure erected between 1865-1868 which still stands today adjacent to Interstate 15 exit 508b
