Kaysville, Utah is home to one of the oldest shooting target holders in the United States. The club was founded in 1892 and still meets on the first Saturday of each month in a park near downtown. The original target holders were made from an old tree that was found at Kaysville's fairgrounds. Today, Target shooters from all over Utah and beyond come together to use these antique targets.

Shooting target holders are devices that allow shooters to hold onto their targets with precision and accuracy. These devices come in a variety of shapes and sizes, making them the perfect choice for any shooter. Some of the more popular types of shooting target holders include those that are designed for handguns, shotguns, rifles, and even pistols.

In 1892, Kaysville was the location of the first shooting competition in Utah. The event was organized by Captain George Armstrong and Mr. John Sorenson to celebrate the opening of a new mill in town. Eight shooters from around Utah competed.

-Kaysville was founded in 1847 by John C. Fremont and his wife, Sarah P. Huntington -The city is located in Weber County, Utah, on the Wasatch Front National Park -The population of Kaysville was estimated at 20,000 in 1990 -Today, Kaysville has a population of over 50,000 and is the second most populous city in Weber County after Provo

The first target holders were created in the 1850s. Shotgun shooters of that time would place a leather band around a tree or post to hold the rounds as they shot at it. These early target holders were made from animal skin, metal, or wood and often had a hole drilled in the center for holding the round. During World War II, target holders became an important part of sniper training because they allowed shooters to hold their rounds more easily while aiming. Target holders are still used today by rifle and shotgun shooters alike to hold rounds during shooting practice.

Some shooting target holders are made from a variety of materials, including plastic, metal, or cloth. They come in different shapes and sizes to fit the needs of shooters.

Kaysville is a small town located in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. The community was founded by Mormon missionaries during the early 19th century. Kaysville remained a small town until the late 20th century, when it began to grow and become a popular tourist destination. Today, Kaysville is an important center for LDS Church activities and serves as ahub for cultural experiences in the area. The first settlers in what is now Kaysville were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The missionaries who arrived in 1847 were led by Brigham Young, one of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS Church. At that time, Mormons believed that they had been chosen by God to lead a new people into eternal life on earth. As soon as they arrived in what is now Kaysville, however, they quickly realized that there was no real infrastructure or economy available to support their growing population. So they started farming and trading with local tribes and Native Americans while building their own homes and churches. Kaysville quickly became known as "the most advanced Indian settlement on the continent." By 1850, Mormon officials had organized all of Utah into wards which would be governed by church authorities. This system allowed for rapid growth within Mormonism due to centralized control over resources and social institutions. In 1851, Mormons built Fort Bridger – one of only two military installations constructed within Utah – in order to protect their fledgling colony from Apache raiding parties. In 1854, Brigham Young announced his plan to build an immense brick temple at Mesa Verde – adjacent to what is now downtown Kaysville – in order to replace an existing temple located near Nauvoo, Illinois (which had been destroyed by fire). With this significant development underway insideUtah's largest city, many residents began flocking towards Mesa Verde for religious reasons. By 1860, Mesa Verde had become home to more than 10% of all Mormon colonists living outside Of Utah proper! As part of efforts towards self-promotion within Mormonism following his conversion from paganism in 1830s,[1] Brigham Young also announced that he was goingto establish himself as a global prophet through proselytizing among other cultures.[2] Accordingly, he sent agents throughout North America beginning in 1864 authorizing them "to preach repentance unto all nations" —a move whichEnrico Fermi later characterized as usheringinthe modern eraof missionary activity worldwide![3] Upon learning about these plans from European missionaries working southward through Mexico City,[4]Young ordered his forces westward across Texas on January 24st 1865 after leading them successfully against Confederate troops at Cedar Creek Bridge just east of Palo Alto Junction!!![5][6][7][8][9][10]Within days'of achieving this miraculous victory over numerically superior Confederate forces,[11],Young directed his army northwestward along I-15 towards Salt Lake City!! But before reaching Promontory Summit Junction - famedfor its towering peaks bordering Salt Lake Valley -Young staged another successful cavalry raid resultinginthe death or captureof upwards OF HIS ARMY MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!This event has come down variously as eitheroneof history'sgreatest battlefield victories ORoneof history'smost tragic episodes EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Today we know both aspectsofthis storywere true..............
