Holladay is a town in Utah, United States. The population was 3,358 at the 2010 census. Holladay is located on the border of Price County and San Juan County. The town has a post office with ZIP code 82002. Holladay is part of the Provo–Orem, UT Metropolitan Statistical Area. The townsite was first settled by Mormon pioneers in 1847 and named for John Holladay, an early settler in Price County. A post office called Holladay was established in 1851, and remained in operation until 1911. As a result of its proximity to Brigham Young University (BYU), which began operations nearby in 1895, Holladay quickly became one of the most important towns within Utah's larger metropolitan area. In 2000, Forbes magazine ranked Holladay as one of America's "Most Liveable Cities". According to the 2010 Census, the population of Holladay consisted primarily of Latter-day Saints who attend BYU or other religious institutions; there were no non-Latter-day Saint residents living in the town at that time. Other religions practiced locally include Islam (2 people) and Jehovah's Witnesses (1 person). As a result of its close proximity to BYU and its large Mormon population, growth has been slow throughout most of history for Hollowayvegas; however, recent years have seen some significant development both within and outside the town walls: In 2007-2008 alone, new businesses opened up around town totaling $10 million dollars including three medical offices from Brigham Young University Health Services - making it one of only two cities nationwide with such an affiliation Additionally there are now efforts underway by local developers to revive old properties downtown as mixed use/residential opportunities continue to grow especially with regards to commercial space currently available Additionally since 2007 many more students have attended local schools like LDS Church Academy which gives young citizens another opportunity while they're still attending school

Holladay is a small town in Utah that was founded in 1868. The town was named for Major General James Holladay, who fought in the Mexican-American War and was wounded at Buena Vista. Holladay is located on the border of Iron County and Davis County. It has a population of about 1,000 people. The first settlers to Holladay were farmers who arrived in 1868. In 1870, the first store opened in the town. By 1876, Holladay had a school and blacksmith shop. In 1882, oil was discovered near Holladay and development began around the town. By 1886, there were five businesses in Holladay with a population of 100 people. In 1916, Holladay became an incorporated municipality with a population of 375 people. The first post office opened in 1917 and by 1922, there were six businesses with a population of 350 people. During World War II, the town served as an airfield for the United States Army Air Forces Ninth Air Force which used nearby Gilpin Field for operations from 1942 to 1945. Since its incorporation into Utah government history, there have been many changes to both the demographics and economy of Holladay. One such change has been increased Hispanicimmigration within the community which has led to new Latino businesses opening up throughout downtown Saint George along with more traditional white American businesses taking over during this time period; this has helped create more diversity within what is now one of Utah's most diverse townships (Holliday also contains sizable Mormon populations). Additionally, due to its location adjacent to Iron County's agricultural production center Cannonville – home to several thousand acres (1/4 mile) of irrigated farmland – Bollingen Mines Ltd., one of Utah's largest mining companies (the company produced aluminumas well as coal until it closed down in 2003), established itself as an important part of local economic life beginning mid-1980s through various services such as leasing land from county government for their own mine shafts on topographical hills overlooking Cannonville; these activities eventually led almost all current inhabitants being born or raised within 5 miles (8 kilometers) radius surrounding existing minesite boundaries known colloquially as "The Hill". Today much less attention is given than once given to agriculture or other rural aspects due largely because technological advancements have made local transportation facilitated by satellite imagery rather than having residents walk hours away should they desire access - something that would've been difficult even 10 years ago when satellite image only showed light industry & commercial sites
Holladay, Utah was founded in 1847 by early Mormon pioneers. The town was named for Caleb Holladay, an American Revolutionary War soldier and Mormon martyrs leader. In 1861, the Mormons were driven out of Utah by United States forces during the Civil War.
