Heber, Utah is a census-designated place in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. Heber is located east of Ogden on the Wasatch Front. It is bordered by Stilwell to the north and east, Cedar City to the south and west, and Monticello to the northwest. The land that makes up Heber was first surveyed in 1847 by George Atherton. The town of Heber was founded in 1850 by Brigham Young and his family after they Generously donated eight acres (3 ha) of their farm for use as a town site. The town grew rapidly until it reached its peak during the 1880s when it had over 100 residents. In 1902, Heber became a city under Act 108 of the State Legislature which created local government within Weber County for all towns with a population of over 5,000 people. On July 3, 1907 President William Frederick Harrison delivered hisoration on behalf of Wilford Woodruff at an LDS Legion meeting at Heber High School auditorium in honor of General Heber's 80th birthday.
