Farmington, Utah is a city of over 250,000 people and the center of the Wasatch Front region. The city has been around since 1847 and is the only incorporated town in Utah. It was founded by pioneers who were looking for land to settle after crossing the Great Salt Lake. The first settlers arrived in 1847 and started farming the land that now makes up Farmington. The city grew quickly because of its location and its ability to access resources such as water, lumber, and oil. In 1951, Farmington became an incorporated town with a population of over 500 people. The Farmington, Utah soft gun case history began with a firearms manufacturer in the early 1800s. The company produced pistols and revolvers as well as rifles and shotguns. Over the years, the company underwent several name changes and ownership changes before eventually becoming known as Smith & Wesson. In 1923, the Smith & Wesson Corporation was founded in Springfield, Massachusetts with a mission to provide quality products at an affordable price. The company continued to produce firearms until its acquisition by Colt Industries in 1938. At Colt, the Smith & Wesson Corporation became part of the Colt Custom Firearms Division. The line of pistols and revolvers that were made under this name continued until 1994 when they were replaced by Swarovski pistol lines.
Farmington, Utah is a town in Box Elder County, Utah, United States. The population was 4,822 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Provo–Orem metropolitan area. The first settler in Farmington was James Callahan in 1847. The town was established on February 14, 1850 by Brigham Young as a place where Mormons could gather for Sunday services and trade goods. On January 6, 1856, Brigham Young granted to the people of Farmington an addition to their donation land for $3 per acre. In 1865, the citizens of Farmington petitioned the US Congress for a charter to create a city government within the boundaries of their town. The request was denied because there were not enough residents who wanted to form a city government and vote on it. On May 1, 1870, District Court Judge George Fenton issued an order granting the request and ordering that City Hall be built at Main Street and Fourth Avenue in what is now downtown Farmington (the building still stands). On November 3rd of that year this new city government came into being with Mayor George Prentice as its first mayor. Mr. Prentice served until he resigned on December 15th due to health reasons after more than 20 years service in elected office including eight terms as mayor (1912-1920). He was succeeded by his son Harold Prentice who served from 1920-1940 before retiring effective November 1st 1940; making him one of only two men ever to have held both offices simultaneously in Box Elder County history! Held every fourth year since then it has been decided by popular vote whether or not to hold another City Council election which will take place on either May 2nd or October 2nd depending upon how many members are available at that time! In 1941 City Councilmember Harry Laughlin became one of only two men ever appointed commissioners with all three branches listed under “ governmental departments” when he was named chairman of Public Works; becoming also oneof only two men ever so honored! Over subsequent decades various other appointments have been made including Community Development Officer (now Neighborhood Services Manager) during the late 1950s & 1960s Dick Neyman becoming Director Of Utilities which position he held from 1971 until his retirement in 2001; finally Tom Kapp becoming Town Administrator effective January 1st 2003 after serving for six years as interim Town Manager! During these twenty years there have been several major changes taking place within our Municipality such as: A shift from male-dominated ward politics towards open nominations which resulted in women gaining representation on council beginning with Lynn Ballard being elected Ward 5 Councillor representing Downtown Rancho Seco during the early 1990’s followed by current Ward 7 Councillor Becky Barnes succeeding her predecessor Lynne Anderson following her resignation effective July 1st 2013; later that same year she became Campaign Coordinator/Treasurer while working concurrently as full-time councillor! Finally starting in late 2007 we had our very own website developed thanks largely to our very own volunteer committee consisting mainly but not exclusively of local high school students!!!

Since the early 2000s there have been several attempts by Congress to pass legislation creating tougher regulations governing how these types of cases must be constructed or functioned in order to be compliant with state laws forbidding possession of unregistered assault rifles or large capacity magazines without a permit. None of these bills have ever passed into law due to opposition by powerful firearms lobbyists within both political parties. In recent years there has been a growing trend among consumers towards buying softer gun cases directly from organizations like Amazon instead of going through licensed dealerships or purchasing pre-assembled boxes from manufacturers like Smith & Wesson or Beretta. The town was founded on April 17, 1847 by Mormon pioneers as a ranching community named Goshen. It became a city in 1907 and was renamed Farmington after its founder, George C. Farmington. In 1960 it merged with neighboring Provo to form the current city of Farmington-Provo combination. Farmington's rich history can be traced back to when the first Mormon settlers arrived in what is now Sevier County in 1847. They named their new settlement Goshen after their home village in England where they had been forced to leave their families during the Mexican–American War (1846-48). Soon after settling in, these early Mormons began irrigating farmland that would later become known as Agricultural Park and today’s downtown area of FarmINGTON%. In 1907, because Farmington had outgrown its original boundaries as a city, it amalgamated with neighbouring Provo to form one of Utah’s most successful cities – still one of which boasts someof the highest concentrations of American Indian ancestry living anywhere within its boundaries! Today there are more than 350 descendants of Navajo and Hopi tribes who call FarmINGTON home; this diversity has contributed greatly to both the unique character and spirit of this vibrant community!
