Eagle Mountain is a small town in Utah that has been home to the Eagle Mountain Rifle and Pistol Club for over seventy years. The rifle and pistol club was founded on April 26, 1918 by Reverend C.C. Henschel, Sr. It is one of the oldest rifle clubs in the United States and has had a active membership since then. This community also played an important role in American history as they were one of the first communities to ratify the Constitution of America on July 4th,1868. The eagle mountain rifle and pistol club currently possess over 350 rifles and pistols which are used for target shooting, competition, or just fun! In addition to their rifles and pistols, the club also holds several annual tournaments including the State Championships in May & November each year as well as many local matches throughout the year. One of Eagle Mountain’s proudest traditions is their involvement with Operation Crossroads which was started by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939 as a way to help provide financial assistance to war-torn countries such as Greece and Romania. Over $2 million was donated through Operation Crossroads alone which helped save thousands of lives!
