One such store was The Optic Shop which was established in 1938 by Mr. Edward Kubiak Jr.. With its wide variety of products available for purchase, The Optic Shop became very popular among optic enthusiasts throughout Utah and neighboring states. By the end of World War II, business had begun to decline as wartime demand forEyeglasses had decreased significantly. However, due to increased interest within the optic community due to advances being made in technology each year since World War II., several Optical Businesses reopened their doors during this time period including The Optic Shop (1948-1951), Mr Edwards Glass & Glazing (1941-1945), Mrs Edwards Glass & Glazing(1945-1950), Ralston Hardware(1928-1939) and Big Red Eagle Glass & Mirror Co.(1920). These businesses continued to sell optical products until they closed down or were acquired by other companies during this period or after it ended.-Big Red Eagle Glass & MirrorCo.(1920) closed down after being acquired by American Weighing Corporation.(1960)

Cottonwood Heights is a census-designated place in Tooele County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,828 at the 2010 census. Cottonwood Heights is located on the eastern edge of Tooele County and bordered by Cedar City to the north, Midvale to the east, Sandy to the south and America Mountains to the west. The name Cottonwood Heights originated from nearby Cottonwoods trees which are said to be able to produce a cottony fiber that can be used for cloth or flooring. The first settler in what is now Cottonwood Heights was James Wickersham who built his home near present day Cedar City in 1857. In 1868 he sold his land for $10 per acre and donated it to the LDS Church as a communal farmstead. This initial donation has been mentioned as one of the reasons why Cottonwood Heights has had such an intense Mormon influence over its residents over time. In 1904, Gold Rush Era entrepreneur David Haugh bought some of James Wickersham's original land and developed it into a small town known as Haughville which still exists today. At this time there were only three homes in town – all owned by Haugh himself – while there were more than sixty businesses with names such as "Haughs Goods" and "Heights Restaurant". When World War I began in 1914, many farmers joined up during The Great Western War because they saw an opportunity for extra income; however, few people lived in Haughville due to its difficult location along Route 12B which bisected much of southern Utah at that time. After The war ended, many farmers returned home but decided not to stay after finding out that there was no market for their products outside of Utah proper. In 1925 when Tooele County was established, cottonwoods became part of county boundaries so Haughville Dissolved into itself again becoming another small town within Tooele County known simply as Cottonwood Heights until it too dissolved in 1990 when new county boundaries were set forth. Today there are still no formal boundaries between towns within Tooele County but most everyone seems content with knowing just beyond Cedar City's borders that “Cottonwood Heights” exists! One reason why cottonwoods have long been so revered within Latter Day Saint communities is their ability to produce high quality fabric materials like clothing and flooring that can only come from trees grown inside LDS temples or farms licensed by Mormons themselves! One recent trend being adopted by local families is growing their own cotton crops on their properties since this produces even higher quality fabric materials than buying these items from afar!
