Cottonwood Heights experienced rapid growth after World War II when thousands of soldiers came to America to fight in what became known as "the war to end all wars." Many families moved into this community during this time, creating a strong nucleus for future businesses and residents. Today, Cottonwood Heights remains a vibrant community with plenty of shopping and dining options as well as easy access to Interstate 15 and other amenities. The more recent arrival of Latino immigrants has also made a difference in terms of demographics; today there are more Asians living here than any other ethnicity. In 1911, during World War I, Cottonwood Heights played an important role in supporting military efforts on behalf of America abroad. The town burned down several times during that war, but it continued to grow and develop despite these setbacks. In 1922, cottonwoods were grown here forthe first time and this led to increased demand for cotton wood chipper blades and other products made from cottonwoods
