Since then, Clinton has seen various waves of growth: A population increase of over 100 percent between 1950 and 2000; expansions into new business districts such as Commerce Park and Northglenn; more than tripled its acreage since 2002 when oil production began boosting local economy; and continuing commercial development including an ongoing renovation project which will add nearly 200 jobs to the village’s workforce over three years starting this year alone In recent years there have also been efforts made by local government officials to revitalize the downtown district near State Capitol while also maintaining cultural amenities like music festivals and arts & crafts shows happening annually at Pioneer Square or on Main Street

Clinton, Utah is a town in Utah County, based on the Grant County line. The population was 1,731 at the 2010 census. Grant County was formed on February 3, 1847 from part of Wayne County. On November 12, 1850, it was renamed Clinton in honor of James Buchanan and John C. Frémont. The first settler in Clinton may have been Lewis Sibley who arrived in 1847. By 1850 there were three buildings and four families present with Sibley as the only individual occupant. A post office operated here from January 4, 1850 to December 15, 1860; it was called "Sibley." In 1861 Brigham Young organically organized Grant County into twelve districts which became wards of the LDS Church under direction of First Presidency President Joseph Folsom. The first ward meeting took place on October 22nd and thirteen individuals were appointed to serve as officers including clerk/treasurer/agent for that Ward and one man also served as justice of peace for that ward (George Dickey). In 1865 Brigham Young granted 480 acres (2 square miles) northward to George Wightman for settlement by Latter-day Saints but did not approve construction of a railroad through what is now Clinton until after his death due to an illness contracted while traveling across America in 1865-1966
