Centerville, Utah is a small town located in Carbon County, Utah. The population was 511 at the 2000 census. Centerville has a history dating back to 1876 when it was part of the Provo City Limits. It became its own municipality in 1907 and then became a city in 1912. Centerville had a population of 796 as of the 2010 census. The first gun magazine in Centerville was built by Haskell Waddell in 1916. Waddell opened the first gun store in Centerville and started selling guns and ammunition here. He also constructed the first shooting range within Centerville limits on Beaver Creek Road. At that time, there were only six handguns for sale within Centerville proper and only one rifle/shotgun store open statewide! In 1929, George Ewing opened his Gunsmith Shop here and began manufacturing pistols and revolvers out of wood pulpstockings until he converted to an all-metal shop in 1936. In 1948, Don Stewart opened his Physical Culture & Sport Store which remains open today as the oldest continuously operating gunstore west of the Mississippi River! Centerville'sGunShop has been home to several famousGunmakers over the years including Dave Browning who operated his business from this location from 1951-1975; Bob Stoner who ran his firearms company from this location from 1975-1996; Tom Brady who operates Brady Arms from this location since 1998; Erik Grimsley who runs Grimsley Firearms out of this location since 2006; John Klinefeldt who operates Klinefeldt Guns out of this location since 2009; Jeff Glidden who operates Glidden Custom Firearms out of this location since 2013; Marcus Hutchins who runs Hutchins Gunworks out of this location since 2016 Centerville'sGunShop is currently owned by Erik Grimsley with plans to reopen it as soon as possible under new management once work permits are obtained! This marks an exciting milestone for Centerville because it will be finally able to boast its own GUN STORE!!

In 1898, the Centerville Gun Company became the Centerville Ammunition Corporation and continued to produce ammunition until 1941 when it merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester-Winchester Firearms Corporation
Centerville, Utah is a town in Kane County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,857 at the 2010 census. Centerville is located on the eastern edge of Kane County and borders the towns of Payson to the north and West Jordan to the east. Centerville is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The first settler in Centerville was Hiram Burt who arrived in 1847. By 1860, there were several hundred people living in Centerville and by 1870 it had increased to over 1,000 people. A post office was established in Centerville in 1872, and throughout its history it has been known as "Centerville." In 1907Centerville Elementary School opened which became one of Kane County's early high schools. From 1918 until 1950 Centerville served as the main headquarters for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). In 1990, LDS Church ownership ended when Brigham Young University purchased all local church property within Kane County for permanent use as an agricultural research campus called BYU-Idaho Campus. In 2003 Centerville was renamed after Ira Eldredge (1916–2004), an LDS apostle who served as president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Western Hemisphere Region from 1984 until his death in 2004. Eldredge also founded Kirtland High School which currently serves as Centerville Junior/Senior High School

In 1865, Goodyear introduced another magazine called "Hornet." This magazine was specifically designed to be used with cannons used by warships. It was also the first magazine to feature drawings on its cover depicting cannonballs being fired from various distances away. These magazines were very popular among military personnel and sailors because they allowed them to reload their guns quickly and easily. By 1870, many companies had begun manufacturing magazinesudebuting new products such as Colt's Special pistols and Remington's Model 870 rifle shotguns. By this time, it had become common for people to carry around a few rounds of ammunition with them wherever they went. As these weapons became more common, it became necessary for manufacturers to create magazines that would fit inside these larger vehicles. This eventually led to the development of the modern firearm magazine design! Today, gun magazines are still a vital part of firearms safety and function! They allow shooters to reload their weapons quickly and easily without having to go outside or leave their vehicle unattended!

It has a total area of , of which is land and is water. The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters; however, there is considerable variation due to altitude and proximity to the Wasatch Mountains. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Centerville has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on account of its high latitude: . As of the census of 2010, there were 11,569 people living in Centerville proper—9% of the total population—including 3% who livedentsity-wide (in unincorporated Kane County). Of these residents, 82% were white alone or in combination with one other race; 12% were black or African American; 2% Native American; 1% Asian; 0%; and 2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino residents made up 5%, or 2%. As noted above 100%, all others included somebody from some other country as well as their own race/ethnicity/national origin (less than 10%).
Centerville began as a small Mormon settlement in 1847. It grew rapidly, and by 1861 it had a population of over 100 people. The town was named after the nearby Centerville Wells watermill, which first appeared on maps in 1845. By 1865, Centerville had become an important transportation hub for the region, with its own ferry service and railroad connection to Salt Lake City. In 1898, Centerville became the site of the first municipal election in Utah. The town ceased to exist as a municipality in 1959, but continued to be known primarily for its agricultural production.
