In 1930, handgun manufacturing operations were moved from American Fork to nearby Orem when Winchester Ammunition Company merged with Hiltons Corporation. The merger created Winchester Holster Corporation which continued to produce holsters until it merged with Browning Firearms Corporation in 1984. Today there are several holster companies operating throughout American Fork including Black Diamond Holsters (founded 2005), Canyon Concealment (founded 2006), Desert EagleHolster(founded 2010), Gunbroker(founded 2013), and NRA-ILA’s Second Amendment Center( founded 2014). There are also several gun ranges located within walking distance of American Fork such as Red Rock Gun Club & Shooting Range (established 1976) and Willow Creek Rifle & Pistol range (established 1990).
