On December 14, 1926 KRLD-TV began operations as the first television station in Dallas with studios and transmitter located on what is now Northwest Freeway near Fair Park Boulevard (just east of Interstate 635), just southwest of downtownDallas and less than two miles from Waco's main library building which had been built only two years earlier on Elm Street between Main Street and Commerce Street

Phase 2 added more market-rate units to The Loop while also adding public transportation access to it from nearby Lamar Station (a light rail station). Phase 3 will add another four floors to The Loop with 108 units and ground floor retail that will include restaurants and shops focused on healthy food options as well as activities like yoga and meditation classes.Phase 4 will see demolition of some older buildings along with new construction that will include apartment complexes, hotels/motels, mixed use developments reminiscent of New York City's Times Square district - all within walking distance of one another with easy access to public transportation.
