The town was located on the banks of the bluffs overlooking the Trinity River and had a few businesses and homes. The townsite that now forms part of West University Place was platted by J."P." Westfall in 1887 as part of a larger ranch purchase from Andrew Jackson Robinson north of Medina County line - this portion including present day west university place has been called "Robinson Ranch" since that time although portions extending into east Medina County were included back then too In 1951, annexation by Arlington Heights created Arlington Heights School District No 8 which included much of what is now west university place including parts annexed by Medina City limits
