It is now safe to say that there is no one single design or type of Laser Sight that has been able to dominate the firearm market like those developed by Remington Arms Company andBushnell Firearms Incorporated. Weatherford is a small town in San Marcos County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,009 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock–Houston metroplex. The area that now Weatherford was originally inhabited by the Wichita Native Americans. In 1836, Spanish explorers discovered what would become San Marcos County and began to explore it. One of these pioneers, José Vasquez de Coronado, named the area "Mendoza" after his father-in-law's estate in New Spain. This name stuck and became one of the most commonly used names for areas in San Marcos County until 1955 when it changed to Weatherford because of its proximity to Fort Worth (now Dallas). The first settler in Weatherford was John Bigham who arrived in 1851. He ranched land near present day Waterloo Road and Old Hwy 290 which he called "Bigham's Valley." The first store opened within a year of Bigham's arrival and soon other settlers followed suit including Jno Eakin who built a cabin on East Main Street in 1854. By 1870 there were eleven stores and three churches in weatherford with a population of 375 people living on 640 acres (249 hectares). A post office was established at this time but only served residents within five miles of town so mail wasn't sent out very often; however, everyone knew each other so gossip wasn’t an issue. As business grew more popular around town people started building larger residences such as Wm Hoggs' two story house on Elm street or Pte Cofer's four story brick home on West Main Street which still stands today along with many other buildings from that era like the old jail turned hotel/motel on Elm Street known as “the white elephant” or Mrs Scholes' church which still stands today next door to her vegetable garden

The community developed into a small town with several stores, a school, and a church. In 1907, the line that connected Galveston to Houston was completed, which madeWeatherford an important connection between the two cities. In 1930, the Texas Department of Transportation built the Interstate 10 freeway through Weatherford, which increased traffic congestion on the town's streets. In response to this problem, the town started developing plans to build a new downtown area that would be more accessible and functional than their current location.
