A hotel called theoda House became operational on Main Street near where Interstate 75 meets FM 925 in 1893; this structure burned down on December 20th of that year. A second hotel named First National City Hotel opened on Main Street opposite Alamo Drafthouse Cinema just east of I-45W exit number 5B in 1995 and continued operations through 2003 before being taken over by Marriott who closed it down after one season due to financial difficulties . It wasn't until 1903 when a real estate firm named Haskell laid out a town square bounded by Second Avenue (now Patton Road), Third Avenue (now US 70), Elm Street (now Greenway Drive) and Pratt Street with Post Office Square as its centerpiece which led to growth around this time including new housing developments such as White Sands subdivision built along Elm Streets between Park Boulevard and US 70 while other residential areas sprung up around Post Office Square such astownsquare West which included shopping centers like Walmart and KFC while also hosting several schools including Flower Mound Elementary School operated by Lamar Consolidated Independent School District No 1111 since 1922 until it merged into Waco Independent School District #2 effective January 1st 1999 later renamed McKinney ISD In 1916 that East Texas Electric Railway Co., predecessor of TX Central Power Company laid out their electric line parallel to 2nd Ave NW then known as "Mainstreet" running south from future I-45W exit number 3N all the way to FM 757 northeast of town center thereby bringing electricity Service to much portions of what are nowWeatherford neighborhoods starting with Garland Heights eastward then continuing into North Oak Cliff area before terminating at eventually UTEP's ranch farmstead west of Technology Rd NE
