Gun targets have been a part of Waxahachie, Texas for over 100 years. The first shooting galleries were opened in the town in 1876. The popularity of target shooting increased after World War I when soldiers returned home and found new opportunities to brawl and shoot at ranges. There was also an increase in the number of gun clubs in the area after World War II as people began to use handguns instead of rifles for protection. In 1949, a local paper reported on a group of kids who had set up targets inside the then-new Waxahachie High School. This led to further development in target shooting circles within the community and eventually helped lead to the establishment of two gun ranges within town limits- one located on FM 971 near Loop 1604 and another on FM 431 just east of downtown. Today, there are more than 10 Gun Clubs in Waxahachie with over 1,500 members!

Third Determine whether you need tall or short targets by measuring your firearms stock length in inches above ground level; Tall Targets should measure over 18 inches high while Short Targets should measure under 16 inches high. Finally choose which material(s) you would like yourtarget made out of by selecting one of our many types of plastics such as fiberglass, aluminum, composites etcetera
The Waxahachie Massacre took place on October 2, 1897, when a group of gunmen opened fire on a local community in the town of Waxahachie, Texas. The victims were nine people, including six women and one child. Two of the gunmen died as a result of their wounds.
Waxahachie, Texas is a city in and the county seat of McLennan County, Texas, United States. The population was 626 at the 2010 census. It lies along I-10 north of Dallas and east of Austin. According to the 2015 U.S. Census Bureau estimate, Waxahachie has a total area of , all land. The first known inhabitants of what is now Waxahachie were Native Americans who built their lodges on high ground near present-day Uniontown in 1827. A post office called Waxahachie was established in 1845, and it remained in operation until 1907. In 1870, John Wesley Hardin founded the town on land he had purchased from the Wichita people. The name "Waxahachie" comes from Hacienda de las Flores (Hattaheen), meaning "place where flowers grow." The town gradually grew because of its location close to railroad tracks and other sources of commerce and industry; by 1920, it had a population of 3200 residents. In 1945, during World War II, local landowners organized an effort to create an artificial island in Lake Texoma so they could produce oil for the war efforts; when it proved too difficult to do so without Royal Dutch Shell's permission, they sold the island to waxahachtians for $1 million (). The island became home to many businesses that operated within or adjacent thereto such as Lockheed Martin Missile Plant No 4 (now Kirtland Air Force Base) and Phillips Petroleum Refinery No 1 (now TXU Energy). During this time period also some new neighborhoods were developed such as Midtown Waxahachie which sits on top of I-10 just outside downtown Dallas proper In 1987 Waco Electric Cooperative moved its headquarters from Waco to Waxahachie after purchasing most assets from UT Arlington Edison Company buyout Of North Texas Electric Cooperative Incorporated

This device is said to be more accurate than current firearms, and could be used in combat situations where gunfire is not possible or impractical.
