Bullets have been a part of the American arsenal for centuries and their history in Waxahachie, Texas can be traced back to 1851. At that time, the town was located in Bexar County and its citizens were forced to buy ammunition from local merchants. The town's first armory was built on what is now First Avenue. It served as a storehouse and shooting range until 1875 when it was replaced by a new structure on I-10. The old armory remained standing until 1976 when it was destroyed by fire. The establishment of the Air Force Base in Waxahachie in 1951 led to an increase in the demand for bullets. That same year, Mr. O’Neill donated $5,000 towards the construction of an armory which would serve as the base's primary ammo storage facility. The new armory became operational in 1954 and soon became known as "The Arsenal". Over time, The Arsenal has become one of Waxahachie's most important landmarks and has become home to many military personnel and their families who use its facilities for target practice, training exercises, ceremonies, etc. In 1961, another donation allowed for the installation of a firing range within The Arsenal proper which served as an official venue for air rifle competition among local residents and visitors alike. Today, Air Rifle Competition at The Arsenal is one of Waxahachie's most popular events and attracts participants from all over Texas!

Waxahachie, Texas is a small town located in Central Texas. The town was founded in 1876 by cattle ranchers and farmers. The first post office was established in Waxahachie in 1876. In 1907, the name of the town was changed to Texarkana to honor oilman George F. Texarkana. The present day Waxahachie was established as a city on April 1, 1913. The original settlers ofTexarkana were cowboys who came from New Mexico and Colorado. They set up camp near the confluence of the Brazos and Atchison Rivers and started trading goods with Native Americans for hides, meat, and other resources. Eventually they became successful enough to build homes, trade goods with other settlements, and start a family business that would continue until current day: the Texarkana Oil Company which still operates out of its original headquarters building on Main Street in Texarkane today! In 1876, Texans James Hogg (born January 12th,) John Chilton (born November 11th,) David Dudley (born October 26th,) William Troup (January 25th,) Alvin Perkins (September 15th.), Jesse Hill(January 25th,) Wm Hogg(December 7th.)and James Caldwell(April 12th.) formed an organization known as “The Forty-Niners” to improve transportation through their region by forming a wagon train trip from Wichita Falls to Austin over Christmas break eighteen seventy six with intentions of establishing Post Offices along their route so travelers could be registered and taxed like common citizens rather than Images on stagecoaches! This event marked the beginning of what would become known as Cowboy Country! From this point forward there were no roads or civilized amenities way beyond these isolated ranchlands providing travelers only access through horseback riding or wading across rivers! In all likelihood this primitive infrastructure contributed greatly to both Lone Star State’s rapid growth during this time period as well as its reputation for instability – something many Texans take great pride in today! In 1907 TXARKANA received its charter from state governor Lucius Noyes which allowed it To become an unincorporated community under city government rule within one year…..thus fulfilling one lifelong dream come true for locals such as myself who have always believed our once young city had potential……….but alas; City Hall never quite fit into our humble little townscape…..until now ;)
