In 1927, the county installed a second gun light to replace an old flashlight. The original flashlight was made from brass and had a handle on top. It could be used as a lantern or as a weapon light. In the early days, handguns were not commonly carried with people and officers often relied on their pistols to do so. In 1964, the Watauga County Sheriff's Department ordered all sheriff's deputies to carry firearms in order to protect themselves from any possible threats they may face while enforcing justice in the community. At that time, handgun carry became popular among law enforcement because it allowed officers greater flexibility when apprehending suspects than using their personal firearm which could potentially get them killed or injured if they did not have proper training in how to use this type of weapon. Throughout the years, there has been some change with regards to gun lights due to new technology and advancements within society at large. One such change is that gun lights are now digital devices that allow for easier viewing in bright sunlight or lowlight conditions. Watauga is a small town in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,590 at the 2010 census. Watauga is located on the north side of the Trinity River, about east of Fort Worth. The first settlers in what is now Watauga were Quakers who came from Pennsylvania in 1836. They built their first house on the bank of the Trinity River in 1837-38. By 1840 they had purchased land and founded a small community called "Watauga". In 1853 they moved to a more permanent location and named their community "Watauga Heights". The name change to Watauga after General James Giddings's brigade attacked and destroyed Confederate forces near that community on July 12, 1862 (the battle of Pea Ridge), which helped end the Civil War within Tarrant County. In 1871 Watauga Township was created out of portions of Briscoe and Thornton townships; it included all but part of present-day Watauga Heights. The township motto was "Unseen hand holding up flag" because until 1865 no one knew whether or not Texas would secede from the Union during the American Civil War. In 1890 it became an independent municipality with its own government under Town Ordinance No 4187-90. On November 1, 1924, it approved annexation by Fort Worth City Council effective December 15th following a vote by Mayor Charles Sweeny. On January 3rd, 1927 when Fort Worth City Council voted 6-1 to annex Watauga Township into Fort Worth proper effective February 8th following yet another vote by Mayor Charles Sweeny as well as unanimous support from all members of City Council – this marked only the second time that an entire municipality withinFort Worth had been annexed into another city or town (the first being Midtown Dallas annexing South Side via mayor’s proclamation).

Watauga is a small town in Perkins County, Texas, United States. The population was 677 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Amarillo Micropolitan Statistical Area. Watauga was founded by Jesse Watters in 1824 as a settlement on the Red River near present-day Fort Worth. In 1851, it became part of the newly formed Perkins County, and in 1857 it annexed parts of direct experience to its own community from Clear Creek County. When those annexations were made final, Watauga had a population of 2,184 people living within its borders and 202 residents of neighboring townships. The first school in Watauga was built in 1826 by Rev. Alexander Caldwell and Simeon Hennesy. In 1840, Drifting Sands School opened for students grades one through twelve; but it closed soon after because there wasn't enough money to keep it open long term! In 1865, Woodrow Wilson Elementary School opened for students grades one through six; but it closed soon after because there wasn't enough money to keep it open long term! Finally (in 1978), Friendship Elementary School opened for students grades one through six!!! The current elementary school building was completed in 1984 and is located just east of town on Highway 149 next to the old post office which served as both an elementary school and county courthouse until 1998 when that structure moved into new facilities across town! In addition to education services provided by local schools, Watauga also has access to many other types of cultural activities offered by nearby municipalities such as Crossroads Center Mall - home shopping mall located just west of town on IH 35 - movie theater located just east of town off Hwy 149 - numerous restaurants including several chain locations - bowling alley which has been operational since at least 1960 - tennis court adjacent to city hall which provides ample opportunity for organized sports participation by citizens during off hours Watauga's economy depends heavily upon agriculture production with a focus on haymaking (a primary crop)and ranching activities such as cattle raising and goat herding; while some manufacturing businesses have begun operations over the years including two companies that produce gift items for Christmas - Brown & Williamson Gifts LLC., makers of cigarettes since 1923 and Hunt's Hardware Inc., manufacturers/distributors/repair dealers specializes exclusively in door hardware One common sight around town is a large black Baptist church called First Baptist Church which meets every Sunday morning at 9am sharp inside City Hall followed immediately afterwards by worship services led by Rev Dr James Boggs who has been pastor there since 1971
