As soon as news started spreading about what was happening in Waco, President Clinton ordered federal air patrols over Texas in order to protect civilians. More than 2 thousand military personnel responded to this call for help but it seems that few could make it through those dark days; within hours of takeoff there were reports of helicopters shot down or missing (Los Angeles Times). Only three members of Congress made it out alive: Ron Paul (R-TX), Mike Ditka (R-IL), and Lamar Smith (R-TX) all died during Flight 93 crash into Pennsylvania just minutes after takeoff from Austin airport (Salt Lake Tribune). As darkness fell on July 27th1993 residents heard strange noises coming from inside Building 7 which had been undergoing renovations at the time; upon closer inspection it emerged that dozens of children had been dragged inside without any warning(Dallas Morning News). When morning finally arrived everyone outsidebuildings remained trapped under chaos as gunfire continued cycle around building entrances/exit points until eventually order was restored within fifteen minutes(Waco Tribune Herald). In total 37 buildings sustained damage including one which collapsed due to fireballs being directed towards it frominside(Linda Chavez reporting for CNN) . In short no one was safe within those fifteen minutes or so either physically or emotionally; literally everyone inside Building 7 lost something valued in life or death.(Houston Chronicle)

Waco, Texas is a small town located in the Baylor County area of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The population was 1,500 at the 2000 census and 2,425 at the 2010 census. By 1850, most Texans believed that annexation by America would finally solve all problems created by recent settlement south of Interstate 35 north of San Antonio while Mexicans continued to live primarily among themselves and were not assimilated into American culture or society as expected given their high status within Mexico City whenAmericas entry occurred In 1865, Waco experienced one of history's largest natural disasters when a devastating tornado struck downtown killing more than 60 people including many prominent citizens such as Judge Royce Lamberth who later became United States Senator from California In response to this tragedy President Andrew Johnson called for Congress to provide financial compensation for those killed or injured intornado This new legislation led directly tothe foundingoftheNational Tornado Insurance Corporation (NTIC)which provides comprehensive insurance coverage for tornado victims throughout North America
The Battle of Waco was fought on April 19, 1993, in the town of Waco, Texas. The battle began after a shootout between the FBI and local law enforcement followed an anonymous phone call reporting that two people had been shot at a Baptist church. The FBI believed that the caller was hoaxed and did not pursue the matter. However, local police were more interested in investigating the murder of a man they believed to be connected to organized crime. Aftermath of the shootout saw multiple deaths and over 100 injuries. In total, 22 FBI agents were killed and 17 other officers were injured during the shootout. UPI reported that up to 60% of all injuries sustained in Waco were from gunfire by both sides.
