With its unique design it allowed users to adjust magnification from 100 yards down to 3 yards with ease while still keeping accuracy within +/- 10 yards at 100 yards using common riflesights at that time In 1915, Vernon began building their own turreted riflescope mounts which continued into production until 1918 when they switched over to Millett optical sights production for all their riflescopes In 1929, Vernorshire Rifle & Pistol Company opened up shop in Vernon and began producing scopes under their own name From 1930 through 1935, Shaverscope manufactured Schmidt & Bender target focus scopes under license from Vernorshire Rifle & Pistol Company By 1936, all riflescopes produced by Vernorshire Rifle & Pistol Company had been phased out and replaced by Millett optics products During World War II, Vernon experienced rationing and most of their cannons and firearms were destroyed or diverted elsewhere due to wartime restrictions However, some old guns such as shotguns were salvaged and brought back into service with new stocks . In 1946, Shaverscope resumed manufacture of target focus scopes under license from Millett Optical Industries Incorporated After World War II ended in 1945, Vernorshire Firearms Corporation closed down completely due largely to continuing competition from MILLET Optics products introduced during postwar America

His brother Harry also operated a grocery store until 1904 when he sold it to A&P grocery chain founder Andrew Carnegie himself! In 1913, Hollywood movie star/director Cecil B DeMille donated $10,000 towards the construction of a new school which would serve as an inspiration for future local schools across America! The donation funded the building of what is now called Southside Elementary School! Along with other businesses such as banks and churches that have come through time ago in this small community, agriculture has been its mainstay since day one! Today there are over 100 farms dotting Vernon’s landscape providing everything from eggs to milk to cotton! With so many different types of crops available for farmers to grow, it’s no wonder that vegetables are also a big part of village life! These days you can find everything from fresh lettuce at farmers markets all year long to corn on the cob prepared right here at home…it just goes back to those roots folks!

Vernon, Texas was named for General James K. Polk in 1845. The town was founded by the Clear Fork of the Brazos River and early settlers were farmers and ranchers. Vernon's economy grew because of its natural resources such as coal, oil, and water. In the 1960s, Vernon became a suburb of Austin.
