Gunswivels have been around since the 1800s. However, their history in Vernon, Texas is much more complicated than that. In fact, gun swivels actually began life as a way to adjust shotguns’ barrels for better accuracy. At first, these adjustments were made by turning a knob on the shotgun platform itself. But over time, it became more and more difficult to do this completely from the ground. So eventually, gunners started using two different-sized levers on either side of the stock to move the barrel around. This allowed them to get a perfect view of their target while also ensuring that they remained stationary when shooting (known as “walking”). Despite its early beginnings, gunswivels quickly became popular in Vernon due to their ease of use and improved accuracy. Today, many people in this rural community still rely on them for target practice and other purposes. In fact, some residents even keep guns with swivels mounted on them so that they can easily cock them whenever they need to fire a round rapidly or during an active chase or combat situation.
A gun swivel is an accessory that can be attached to a firearm to rotate it so that the barrel can point in any direction. So by rotating its arm around your finger, you can get it pointing directly at your target without wasting any ammo . . . or else close range with high accuracy.
In Vernon, Texas, on January 5th 1912, a gunman named Harry Ellis opened fire on a group of people at the Vernon-based Waco bank. The atrocity claimed the lives of 14 innocent victims and injured another 26. Over time, the events that took place at the Waco bank have come to be known as the Gun Swivel Massacre.

In 1990, after years of ballot box protests against plans to build an airport near town limits, voters approved an amendment to the Texas Constitution authorizing taxation of aviation within its boundaries In 2002, Vernon opened its own post office which continues service today Today, Vernon consists largely of retirees from surrounding counties who have chosen this locale because it offers excellent schools and wide open spaces for farming operations; however there are still some young people living here as well

This allowed you to move your sights around quickly so that you could get better aim at any given moment without having to take off your weapon entirely. This new method of aiming was soon adopted by European armies and has been used ever since. Modern firearm swivels started appearing in America in 1903 during World War I when advances in armaments led Carbine Corps soldiers using rifles equipped with knobs on top of them instead of barrels (the standard rifle sighting system) developed adjustments for elevation (scanning across both sides of an imaginary line joining two rear points). Riflemen who depended on moving their estimating mechanisms - such as those used by snipers - needed something besides just looking through glass sights all day long! By 1917, Army engineers had come up with what is now called a "gun-stock hinge", which allowed infantrymen mounting machineguns onto tractor trailers or trailers running on tracks tilted down so that they could fire while driving; no more guesswork about where your target will show up on radar! Vernon, Texas was founded in 1879 by General James F. Ferguson and his wife, Missouri-born Anna L. McFarlane. The town's first post office opened in 1880. Vernon grew rapidly due to its location on the Rio Grande and its natural resources, which included coal, oil, sandstone and limestone. By 1890 the population of Vernon had reached 2,000 residents. In 1893 local banks merged to form the First National Bank of Vernon. The city hall was built in 1895 and became a national landmark. In 1907 Vernon annexed the neighboring towns of Gusitas and Pecos to become one municipality. In 1912 Vernon became a state capital when it was added to the Texas Panhandle as part of an experiment with two capitals in different states. The following year Wichita Falls were annexed into Vernon while Midland passed from Vernon to Midland County. The Depression years saw economic decline for Vernon but also increased development due to new jobs in agriculture and industry; the population swelled to over 25,000 by 1934. World War II brought an increase in military traffic through Vera Cruz Valley; this led to growth in armaments production at nearby factories including Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) until 1942 when American entry into World War II forced a halt to these investmentsand necessitated salvage yards being constructed along the river for war materials disposal In 1951 Vernon elected mayor Joseph Margetts who continued redevelopment efforts that resulted in heavy investment from private interests such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Texaco and finally Harry S Truman’s presidential inauguration ceremonies took place at Decatur Road Plaza across from City Hall on April 12th,. As recently as 1990 there remained just over 1,500 people living within city limits while Douglas Aircraft Corporation operated a large plant northeast of town producing McDonnell Douglas turboprop planes The end of prohibition enforcement ushered in an era of social change with more African Americans working outside traditional industries such as mining or agriculture; this led directly to increasing crime rates although some progress has been made since then with programs like Operation Head Start which provide early childhood education opportunities
Vernon, Texas was founded by Richard Vernon in 1879. The town originally served as a cattle and gold-mining community. The discovery of oil in the area in the early 1920s led to Vernon's growth as an oil processing center. In the late 1960s and 1970s, Vernon became known for its hippie culture and counterculture atmosphere.
