The following year, ammunition manufacturing resumed in Uvalde with a new company being founded by Henry Hincks who manufactured Remington Rifles and shotguns. In 1932, Uvalde also became home to America’s first commercial machine shop for reloading firearms which functioned as both an armory and munitions factory.
