University Park, Texas is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Bowie County. The population was 26,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. University Park is bordered by Arlington on the north, Irving on the east, Plano on the south, and Mesquite to its southeast. The first inhabitants of what would become University Park were Native Americans who hunted and fished in what is now Oak Cliff creek valley. A post office called University Station was established in 1848, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1876 due to lack of response from settlers. In 1873, James Caird bought 640 acres (248 hectares) of land northwest of downtown Dallas for $2 per acre ($40 per hectare). He named his new estate "University Park". The town site that would house University Park began to take shape around 1880 when a group of trustees purchased 160 acres (64 hectares) northeast of downtown Dallas from John Waddell for $5 per acre ($100 per hectare). The original university campus would be located here; however, this plan never came to fruition because Waddell died before it could be completed. The town site did not come under development again until 1907 when Drury Trustees donated an parcel to build a hospital on which they had already built a garage and other buildings used by their medical school patients. In 1909 Drury Trustees also donated land to create a shopping center which became home to many local businesses including Joplin's Department Store and Baylor Hospital's first hospital building (now Baylor Tower). In 1928 African American students at Temple University moved into newly created housing near campus as part of an integration effort at thatSchool; this event helped spur additional development within University Park as black residents began moving into areas previously occupied only by white people such as Oak Cliff and Irvington villages west of TX-4A highway mainline between Deer park Rd./Uptown/Downtown/Three Rivers Rd./Eastview Mall/Houston Heights/Shoppes opened along with several churches among others This period saw some growth for Uptown with stores like Sears opening up shop there while still being accessible via UTEP Blvd./TX-27 freeway mainline . Easttown Village annexed UnivPark following annexation efforts begun by Trinity United Methodist Church property owner Willis Reeves In 1942 UnivPark lost annexations from most neighborhoods west side after North Korean troops invaded during World War II but few properties were taken over so no real changes took place

In 1984, Michael Aquino was choking another man when he became aware that Aquino's wife was watching them from inside their home. Aquino went outside to confront his wife instead, resulting in him choking her too before she could scream for help. Aquino then fatally shot himself moments later while under arrest after trying to flee the scene

Kennedy after he became President of the United States.
