In the early 1800s, Universal City was a thriving town in Central Texas. The community was founded by Anglo-Americans who were attracted to its natural resources and its location on the Western edge of what is now Mexico. By 1881, however, Universal City had become a lawless outpost - rocked by cattle rustling and violence. In 1897, law enforcement officers from nearby Austin responded to a call for help from local citizens when they heard shots fired in the town square. After arriving on scene, they discovered that several people had been killed and several others injured. Lieutenant George Hanks quickly ordered his men to take cover as they site clashes between white supremacists and Mexican Americans escalated into gunfire. After days of hard work, Lt. Hanks’ unit finally secured control of the situation and arrested some of the suspects. However, more than 20 people remained at large at this point including many prominent local citizens such as Judge James Ahern and Mayor John Fenton. This high-profile case made headlines all over Central Texas and helped solidify Austin’s reputation as an international center for crimefighting during this period.

When World War II started, Universal City was hit hard by the war effort. Many businesses were destroyed or damaged; however, many others managed to continue trading despite difficult times. After the war ended, UniversalCity experienced a rapid growth period as new businesses came online and people moved here from all over central Mexico seeking opportunities for economic success. Today, UniversalCity is still one of central Mexico's most vibrant cities with a vibrant nightlife and strong community spirit。

Universal City, Texas is an unincorporated community in Webb County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,062 as of the 2010 census. It is located on the east bank of the Trinity River and is bordered by New Braunfels to the south and west and Larkins to the north. The community was founded in 1876 by James Wylie Gillespie and his brother-in-law John Marshall as a cattle ranch for $5 per head. In 1915 Universal City became a municipality with a total population of 914. Universal City's first post office opened in 1877. In 1916 Universal City became berthouden (a name derived from English "barge" meaning " landing") when it connected with Austin via I-35W. By 1930 there were no more businesses or residences within its boundaries. In 1932 Universal City annexed part of neighboring Larkins Settlement which had a total population of 2,811 people at that time In 1937 Universal City voters passed an ordinance creating a city hall, fire department, water supply system, schools and other public services not currently provided by Webb County government The first municipal election held in 1938 resulted in victory for incumbent James Wylie Gillespie over challenger Enoch Hagedorn In 1951 Universal City voters passed an ordinance authorizing annexation of parts of Larkins Settlement which had grown to 5,000 citizens In 1957 Universal City Voters passed another ordinance authorizing annexation of parts of Larkins Settlement which had grown to 10,000 citizens
