Tomball, Texas is located in the Midland region of the United States. The city was founded by Tomball citizens in 1884. At that time, it was a small town located on the east side of Tomball Lake. Today, Tomball is a rapidly growing community with over 160,000 residents and several thousand businesses. The gun sights industry in Tomball began as early as 1883 when two individuals named J.H. McCabe and Wm. Henson developed an improved system for sighting rounds into firearms using a device known as a "cocking block." This new sight system allowed shooters to hit targets at distances up to 100 yards without having to adjust their aim manually. The first use of this type of firearm sights in Texas occurred on November 8th, 1883 when Captain John Tuggle used them on his rifle during a shooting match at the then-new San Jacinto County courthouse. During World War I, barrel length limitations caused many American manufacturers to develop multiple versions of rifles chambered for different types of ammunition including .30 caliber rounds which were becoming more common in Europe due to military influences there. As such, various companies produced muzzleloaders and shotguns specifically designed for .30 caliber rounds (e.g., Winchester Model 1903) which required different calibers' sights than those used for other types of ammunition (e.g., 7mm Remington). As such,gunsight manufacturer George Gibbs decided to produce just one model specific cocked round sight called the Gibbs Sight which could be attached directly onto any Remington shotgun barrel utilizing hand screws provided he had an appropriate Threadlocker toolkit available at his factory! In 1914 Gibbs Sight production ceased completely while they continuedogue development work on their next model but eventually discontinued all operations because they met interference from Winchester who began producing similar models without cocked round sights! In 1923 George Gibbs become president and CEO of Winchester Repeating Arms Company where he gradually increased production capabilities until their Gunsight Division became world renowned for developing and manufacturing some of the most advanced cocked round sight systems ever created!

The Tomball Rifle and Pistol Club held their first meeting on November 2, 1881. The club was organized by J.P. Sprague and Wm. Ladd with the goal of providing a place for riflemen and pistolsmen to meet and shoot together. In 1886, the Tomball Rifle & Pistol Club bought a piece of land in what is now Tomball Avenue from Mrs. Averill Hagar for $1,000. The club used this land to build its present-day clubhouse which opened in 1907.
Tomball is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 21,914 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hidalgo County. The name Tomball comes from Tomahawk Creek, which runs through town. The first settlers in what is now Tomball were white men who came to the area around 1849 as part of the Texas Revolution. They named their new settlement after General Sam Houston's chief lieutenant and friend, Colonel James Fenton Tomlinson. The first post office was established in 1851 and was called "Anahuac." In 1875, Tomball incorporated as a city under the name of "Tomball." In 1916, the Texas Legislature changed the spelling of Tomball from "Tomahawk" to "Tomball". At that time it had been spelled "Tombeal" for several years and some people felt that it should be changed back to its original spelling because many people thought it looked like an Apache Indian word. On November 3, 1916 by an act of the Texas Senate, City Hall adopted its current spelling - Tomball - when all other cities within Hidalgo County followed suit. According to 2010 census data (in descending order), there are 20 housing developments with over 1,000 homes or more located within city limits: 4 – White Sands; 5 – Encinitas Mesa; 6 – Rancho Mirage; 8 – Victory Park; 9 – Northgate Towers II ; 10 – Lighthouse Pointe Tower I ; 11 – Peninsula Park II ; 12 – Loop 1604 Corporate Center #1-2 ; 13 – Cypress Lakeside IIIParking Lot .
Gun sights have been around since the beginning of firearms. Early guns had crude sights that were only able to see a rudimentary outline of the target. To improve accuracy, early firearms manufacturers developed sights that could take into account the user’s elevation and windage. The first true gunsight was patented by Nicholas-Jacques Conte in 1795. It consisted of a small, cylindrical tube with an eye on top and a metal frame around it. A sighting system for handguns was first introduced in 1836 by Captain John Browning, who designed a sight called the “ mould-making machine” which used lead blocks to adjust ironsight onto your target. The first professional handgun match took place in 1851, at which time Capt. John Browning won the competition with his new revolver sight known as “The American Rifleman’s Guide to Pistol Shooting” Though handguns began being made with more complex sights before they became popular for civilian use, conversion devices (such as spotting scopes) were not often available until after World War II when advances in optics led to greater accuracy with rifles. Gun sights continued to be developed and improved throughout the years, culminating in current designs that provide pinpoint clarity while still accommodating user elevation and windage within +/- 2 degrees of centerline while firing from any position within +/- 25 yards of range using either single or multiple shots per secondfired weapon without having to re-aim each time

Tomball was founded in 1881 by Dr. John Tomlinson and postmaster Hiram Sargent. The town's name is derived from the Texas Trail, which ran through the area. Tomlinson named the town after his friend, General Sam Houston, who had defeated Mexican forces at the Alamo in 1836. The first store in Tomball opened its doors on October 15, 1881. By 1893, the population of Tomball had reached 1,500 people. In 1907, a telephone line was constructed between Tomball and nearby Grapevine. In 1912, a movie theater was built in Tomball and soon became one of the most popular attractions in town. In 1934-35, a school was built to serve the local population of around 25 students. The first high school graduate from Tomball School District No.(now Springtown Independent School District) received her diploma from Lamar High School on February 8th 1935. On December 20th 1939 industrialist Amschel Rosenberg purchased 6 acres northwest of town for $2 per acre (about $240 today). He began construction on what would become known as Rosenberg Stadium which would be completed in late 1940 or early 1941 (the original stadium stands to this day). After World War II ended with Japan's surrender on September 2nd 1945, Rosenberg donated all his land to the city of Tomball for use as a public park that still exists today! During Reconstruction period (1868-1877), many African Americans were brought into Texas by their families to work as farmhands or sharecroppers; however some did manage to make it into white households as well In 1865 when Texas seceded from United States of America following Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation; black Texans living in Texas were free but not allowed within any US state other than Arkansas where they continued to suffer discrimination until 1887 when US Supreme Court ruled that black Texans are citizens of their respective states Tomball played its role during Reconstruction period as both a center for trade and education for African Americans living within its boundaries
