Tomball is a city in Galveston County, Texas, United States. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is the smallest city in Texas and second-smallest city in the United States after Wichita, Kansas. Tomball is well known for its gun lasers which are used to shoot targets with pinpoint accuracy. The origins of this technology date back to the early 1900s whenguns were designed as hunting rifles and shotguns were not as accurate as they are today. Gun lasers were first developed by a team of engineers led by Willis Siddledale who patented his invention on December 15th, 1912. A few years later he opened up an engineering office in Corpus Christi which became known as "Willis Siddledale Associates". In 1932 Willis Siddledale passed away and his son Harry took over the business until his death in 1978. After Harry's death it was passed down to his two sons John and Jim who continued operations until 1993 when it was sold to George Hargrave who changed the name to George Hargrave Precision Incorporated (GHPI). GHPI continues production of gun lasers today with over 50 employees located across four plants throughout Texas including one in Tomball. At present there is no other company that manufactures this type of laser technology specifically for guns! The history of gun lasers can be traced back to 1902 when a team of engineers led by Willis Siddledale created what would become known asgun lasers or "bullet pistols." These devices fired projectiles using light energy rather than air pressure or gravity which made them much more accurate than earlier designs. Additionally, these guns could beloaded with multiple rounds per minute making them ideal for hunting animals such as deer or bears! By 1920s most firearms had been replaced with automatic weapons so automatic handguns like machineguns began being produced that could fire projectiles using light energy instead of air pressure or gravity which allowed gunsights to be attached directly onto these weapons making them even more accurate! In 1933 however, World War II started and automatic warfare superseded all other forms of firearm use meaning that handgun manufacturers had little choice but to develop new types of guns specifically designed for war purposes! With Automatic Firearms Directive No 138/49 issued on November 15th 1938ogun lasers became an official weapon device under section 3(a)2(h)ofthe 1939 Defence Act (UK). Thereafter they remained intermittent during peacetime before becoming fully operational again during World War II! This provided RAF pilots with highly accurate target practice while flying bombing raids over Germany against industrial targets! As Automatic Weapons Directive No 527/1945 (US) Restrictions Relating To Cannon And Machine Guns came into effect on January 1st 1946gun Lasers ceased operation completely within UK airspace although some still continued operation internally within NATO member countries until 1949 when all GUNLASER PRODUCTS STOPPED PRODUCTION IN ALL PARTIES UNTIL THE LAST DAY OF JANUARY 1950!! By 1954Gun Lasers had become available commercially once again through two companies namely American Optronics Corporation (AOC)and Hughes Aircraft Company (HUGHES). Unfortunately due primarily to political reasons these companies decided notTo manufacture GUNLASER products any longer but continued selling surplus stock albeit without any associated warranty!. In 1980 AOC merged with CVE corporation creating world's first cross platform manufacturer of electronic components ! CVE continue manufacturing GUNLASER products under their current name - Honeywell Electronics Co., Ltd..In 1992 George Hargrave Precision Incorporated merged with CVE corporation creating world's first cross platform manufacturer of electronic components !CVE continue manufacturing GUNLASER products under their current name - Honeywell Electronics Co., Ltd..In 1994 LSI Technology Corporation joined forceswith CVE corporation forming world's only Russian-owned heavy industry electronic component Manufacturing company specializing exclusivelyin GUNLASER Products ! subsequently LSI Technology Corporation continuesmanufacturing GUNLASERSundercurrentname--LSI Electronic Components plc..Since then LSIs participation has broadened from simply supplyingelectronic componentstoproduceallkindsofbangalongproductsincludingguntargetprojects...Today LSIs involvement has broadened from simply supplyingelectronic componentstoproducingallkindsofbangalongproductsincludingguntargetprojecTS...Today production takes place at twelve facilities worldwide employing approximately 4500 people including 1500 workers at our Tomball plant

In 1905, the township of Tomball was organized, and it incorporated as a municipality on May 8, 1907. The name of the city of Tomball has been changed several times since its incorporation to reflect changes in population or geography within Cameron County: from Tomball to Bedford to Tomball-Bedford-Tomball on November 10, 1998; from Bedford to Coryell on December 12, 1999; and finally from Coryell to Tomball on February 7, 2002. In terms of economic base (commerce and services), most activities take place within the municipal boundaries that encompass the community of Tomball itself as well as those adjacent to it: Wheeler Ranch State Park just south of town limits; Midland Creek Ranch east of town limits; Jewett Reservoir northwest of town limits; and Springdale East Golf Club southeast of town limits. Some outside activities that are significant but not limited to these areas include agriculture (livestock ranching) and golf (the Towne Course). There are also some smaller manufacturing businesses located throughout neighboring communities which support local jobs unrelated to commerce or services provided by the municipalities within their borders

It became an important center for cotton farming and manufacturing, and saw a boom in the early 20th century as a result of its location on the Texas Gulf Coast. However, during World War II Tomball experienced significant growth as a result of its military base, which helped to spur economic development throughout the town. In recent years however, Tomballhas seen declines in its population and infrastructure due to increasing competition from neighboring cities.
