There are several different types of gun grips that have been used over the years. Some of these include checkered grip, hammer grip, pistol grip, shotgun grip and rifle grip.

The Wednesday night of November 7, 1858, Tomball saw the first public shooting in that town. The event was the opening night of the Texas State Fair and Mayor James A. Farish authorized Deputy Sheriff George H. Stephenson to fire a shotgun at an animal fair exhibit. That same year, on October 10, 1859, Tomball saw the first organized rifle shooting in Texas when Second Lieutenant John Broughton opened fire on a target range at Tomball Springs Golf Course.
Tomball is a city in Harris County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is the second-largest city in Harris County after Houston. Tomball is located in north Harris County and borders Clear Lake to the east and northwest; Beltway 8 to the north; Cypress Creek to the west and south; and Waller Creek to the southeast. Tomball is also bordered by League City on the east, Midland on the south, Houston on the southwest, Bellaire on the west and north, and Round Rock on the northwest. The first European settler in what would become Tomball was James Mclntyre who arrived in 1836. In 1840 Russian immigrants built a log cabin near present day Tomball Creek Trail and named it "Russian Hill" after their home country which they had never seen before. A post office called Tomball was established in 1851 with Wm Hines as its first mailer. By 1860 there were over 100 residents living here including Methodist missionaries who founded Missionary Baptist Church of Christ (later renamed First Baptist Church). A cotton gin was built about this time but it did not come into use until 1870 when an engine was purchased from Nicholas Lilly of Philadelphia for $1,000 that replaced an old hand crank gin used by local farmers. By 1880 cotton production had Increased sufficiently that two steamboats could be operated daily between Galveston Island & Corpus Christi Bay transporting cargoes of cotton as far away as New Orleans & Cincinnati! In 1907 Anheuser-Busch Brewery opened a brewery here adjacent to Missionary Baptist Church which became one of America's first beer breweries! Today Anheuser-Busch Brewery remains one of Tomball's most visible businesses with a restaurant/bar overlooking Main Street serving up some Of Americas favorite beers including Busch Light Lager & Budweiser! The brewery closed its doors for good approximately 15 years ago but has now been reborn as TX Brews - home of several unique brands such as Busch Kolsch Ale/Pilsner Witbier & Oktoberfest! Gun grips have been around for centuries, and there are many different versions that can be found on various firearms. The first guns with grip stocks were created in the 16th century. At this time, handguns were not typically shot with hands-on techniques like they are today. To shoot a handgun, someone would position themselves so they could point the barrel at an enemy and pull the trigger, which caused the gunpowder in their firearm to fire and create a loud noise. This process was called “firing” or “loading” the gun. The earliest rifles also had stocks, but these were not commonly used because people had trouble holding them steady during shooting; instead, most shooters used their arms as weights to support their firing stance.[1] In 1795, Nicholas-Jacques Conte designed a rifle that featured a pistol grip stock (also known as a “Conte pistol grip”), which allowed users to more easily control their weapon while firing it. The design became very popular after it was adopted by France.[2] From this moment on, pistols began being fired with one hand while using a stock-griped handgun as well. This way of shooting became known as single-handed shooting or simply “handguns” since handguns did not need stocks anymore. However, some people still preferred using grips when shooting handguns because they Were able to better hold onto the weapon and keep it stable while firing it; even though this method was less common than single-handed shootings. So in 1912,[3] Gottlieb shortened an existing rifle stock (the FAL) by adding two curved brackets at each end[4] that made it easier for shooters to use grips when holding onto their firearms during shootings; although this change did not become very popular until later on due to certain concerns about potential finger injuries from gripping tight during gunfire.[5][6][7][8] This type of grip has been called an "assault style" grip ever since then because of its ability help shooters maintain control over their firearms during fights or other physical tasks outside of Shooters Hall Of Fame events

Tomball is a small town in Texas. It was founded in 1848 by Methodist missionaries, and its name comes from a pioneer settler, Tom Hagan. The town grew rapidly after the railroad arrived in 1867, and by the end of the century it had an population of over 1,000 people. The first school in Tomball was built in 1868, and the first post office was established in 1870. In 1907, Tomball became one of the towns that joined Texarkana into the larger city of Dallas. The town experienced some growth during World War II as a munitions plant, but it declined after the war ended. Today, Tomball is a small community with few economic opportunities.
