Tomball is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Tomball County. Tomball was founded in 1889 by settlers from Canada who were looking for land to farm. The city was named for General Tomball, a hero of the Mexican–American War who had fought at San Antonio and Chapultepec Castle.
