Texas City is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. As of 2019, it has grown to 2,083 people living in a total area of . It was founded on July 20, 1884 by cattlemen from Abilene, Kansas Territory as a rail depot for their animals and local farmers. The first weapon flashlight was designed and manufactured by Sargent Manufacturing Company of Buffalo Heights, New York in 1892. This company became known as "The Flashlight Men" because they marketed their guns and lighted flashlights with this name. In 1915, Pee Wee Reese became the first human to use an air-gun when he used one during a football game against Baylor University at Waco Field in Waco, Texas on September 17th. In 1916 Frederic Weise developed the first strobe light which could be used for night fishing or hunting under specific circumstances such as when visibility was low due to fog or rain. In 1927 Gino Rossi invented the modern handgun grenade launcher which allowed handguns to fire grenades without having to remove them from their cases; this device would become known as the "Grenade Launcher Guy". On October 9th 1925 America's newspapers published front page stories about an exploding ammunition magazine that had occurred at Fort Worth Arsenal near Trinity College (now UT Arlington). A munitions store employee had been using his hand grenade launcher to shoot rounds out of an old ammunition dumpster when it exploded prematurely scattering lead and other missiles across an open field next door; no injuries were reported although two dogs were killed within 100 yards (91 m) of where the blast happened! For several years afterward there have been unsubstantiated reports alleging that unexploded ordnance still remains inside Texas City limits! On January 11th 1957 a series of bombings rocked downtown Dallas causing $3 million worth damage including $1 million dollars worth of bombs found inside office buildings! No arrests have ever been made in connection with these bombings!

In 1901, violence erupted between Mexican immigrants andTexan citizens over control of some disputed land within Texcoco boundaries. This sparkled national attention as labor disputes across America continued to flare up during this period of turmoil; however, nothing came close to the intensity or scale of what occurred in Texcoco during this time period. The years following World War II saw an increase in economic development in Texcoco as postwar restrictions on American jobs caused many companies to move their operations out westward into Mexico-new industries such as trucking began appearing on local streetsides all across the border city In 1954-1955 local officials successfully petitioned both Congress and President Dwight D Eisenhower for annexation by neighboring El Paso County - making Texcoco part of that county but also creating tension between Austin metropolitan area (to the east) and small rural towns nearby (to the west). Growth continued apace through post-war years with new subdivisions being completed all around downtownTexcoco while older ones evolved into brand new neighborhoods known today as “the old quarter” or just “the Quarter” A variety of events have since taken place inside or outside downtownTexcoco which has kept it alive including art shows & festivals galore every year both during non-seasonal months & at Christmas Today’s TXCity is one big ol' family filled with diverse cultures coming together to enjoy each other's company
