However some businesses that have survived are restaurants (especially Chinese), gas stations/conveniences stores/ airports etc., which provide employment for many people across the community outside of agriculture; also some small business owners have been able to take advantage of new technology like online marketing to survive despite competition from larger outfits
The first Baptist church in Temple was built in 1872. The first Methodist church was built in 1875. The first Catholic church was built in 1892. In 1945, the first Jewish temple was built in Temple.
