In 1865-1867, the state legislature passed an act providing for township government and setting out boundaries for Sweetwater Township including parts of Haskell County to the south and east based on population growth rates during that time period; Haskell County residents had ratified this measure but not incorporated into Sweetwater Township yet because they wanted more control over their own affairs within their own community rather than being under municipal jurisdiction. In 1870-1871 local dentist Isaac Neeples established dental practice in what is now Sweetwater Creek Elementary School District No. 2 which soon became one of the most popular dental practices in the area due to its quality services and low prices without sacrificing quality or care for patients seeking professional dentistry care only four miles away at Masonic Temple Hospital located on Elm Street outside Fort Worth (the first hospital west of Dallas). The success of Neeples’ practice led other dentists followed suit throughout Texas beginning with Drs Charles Goodlett (Fort Worth), George Aiken (Dallas), Hiram Brownell (Houston), Addison Webb (San Antonio) among others over ensuing years until all hospitals closed down or merged into larger American Dental Association Hospitals sometime around 1975-1976 when health insurance began becoming available throughout Texas instead of just specific medical facilities/doctors only affording certain types/types Of Care like Dentist Only Insurance did then become common place across all Type Of Insurance now called Health Insurance policies across State lines sweet water tx history
