Tasers were first invented in Southlake, Texas in the early 1970s. They are one of the most common weapons used by police departments around the world. Tasers were originally designed as a less-lethal weapon for use against suspects who had acted aggressively or unprovoked. They were used for self-defense, but their use has since been increased in countries such as the United States and Great Britain. Taser usage has also become increasingly common in law enforcement, with officers using them to subdue suspects during operations or during arrests. Tasers are electric weapons that emit a high-voltage current through a wire leading from the electrode to the subject’s skin. When discharged, this current can cause severe pain or paralysis. The device is placed on the body part being tased, and when it is charged, a bright light illuminates it. A person wearing gloves must hold onto the armrest while holding onto one of two lead wires running adjacent to each other at shoulder height. When needed, officers can release the current by pressing down on one of those wires and then pulling up hand). There are three types of tasers: Stun Gun (SF), Electric shock Device (ESD), and Personal Defense Weapon (PAD). Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages: SF devices are designed for personal defense purposes only; they have no electrical potential that could harm people else around them. However, SF devices have low stun levels (50 joules) which makes them less effective against large mammals such as chimpanzees or gorillas—they typically stun targets with around 10 joules instead. When used in combination with ESD devices - which are specifically marketed towards subduing large animals - SF devices can be effectively employed against humans if used correctly; however their stun levels will usually be lower than those of ESD devices when firing simultaneously at a single target(assuming there is no intervening object between target and device). ESD firearms have been found to be more effective when fired consecutively at multiple targets than either individual SD firearms or handguns in terms of inflicting disabling damage on human targets; however this advantage does not persist when used singly against human targets outside an experimental laboratory setting where these firearms have been tested extensively under controlled conditions . Finally, personal defense weapons like shotguns may also work well when fired successfully at several small prey items close together from relatively short range given enough time/distance; however none of these projectiles travel very far before hitting something else

Southlake, Texas is a town in the U.S. state of Texas, located on the Dallas-Fort Worth area's East Side. The population was 24,859 at the 2010 census and is expanding rapidly due to new development in Southlake Village and other neighborhoods. The Town of Southlake was organized as a village in 1879 by John Braidwood, an early settler on the east side of Dallas. It became a city in 1907 after annexation by Dallas. Southlake started as a small farming community near what is now Fair Park and continued to grow until it reached its current size when subdivisions were developed on both sides of Interstate 35E throughout the 1970s and 1980s. A new downtown district emerged during that time with many large buildings including The StarCenters shopping mall, which opened in 1984 and remains one of the largest malls in North America today. In recent years, much growth has occurred within Southlake Village outside of I-35E boundaries; this includes large developments such as The Villages development just off Loop 610 West (the old Neches border), as well as several smaller villages scattered around town limits such as Willow Lakes and Highlands Ranch – all without having to go through I-35E traffic congestion or concerns about possible displacement by larger projects nearby. Asians have long been an important factor in South Lake's history; they first arrived here during the turnofthe century when rice cultivation began to take hold on what is now South Lake Village northeast of downtown . Over time their numbers grew steadily until Vietnamese refugees began arriving beginning in 1975 following the fall of Saigon , which left many people displaced across Delta County . As recently as 2000 more than 50% of residents were Vietnamese ; however since then most Asians have either moved away or disappeared entirely fromSouth Lake Village due to cultural differences rather than feelings of assimilation into American society

The town of Southlake was founded by General Sam Houston on November 3rd, 1849 following his victory over Mexican forces at San Jacinto Creek. The area that now makes up Southlake was originally part of East Texas territory claimed by Mexico before it was ceded to the United States at the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848. For many years, people in East Texas thought that they were living in bubbles because they didn’t have much experience withivilization or agriculture outside of Mexico City. When Texans started arriving in large numbers in what is nowSouthlake during the 1840s and 1850s they quickly realized that this area had potential as a new settlement due to its strategic location on the Trans-Mississippi Railroad and its population density of 10 people per square mile (3 per square kilometer). On November 3rd,1849 General Sam Houston organized a group of approximately 100 men under his command to explore this potential new settlement. The goal of this exploratory party was to determine whether or not this area could be used for farming purposes and whether there were any other suitable locations within East Texas for settlers to establish themselves. After traveling through what is now North Carolina some 78 miles (126 kilometers) from where he initially landed his force at San Jacinto Creek General Houston decided against moving any further east because he felt that there wasn’t enough land available for settlers hereabouts. His original plan called for him to march all the way back home but after learning about Indian resistance he decided instead to encamp near present day West Point until reinforcements could arrive from Austin (the capital city at the time). This decision likely saved many lives as it ensured that war efforts would not spread too far into East Texas unnecessarily – something which would have been difficult if successful military campaigns had taken place here without help from nearby Austin. Following his initial exploration party’s return journey across Central AmericaHouston prepared plans for another effortBrigadier general James Fannin took chargeof organizinga larger force meantto march northwardand clear outthe settlementsnear Alamo Heightson October 26th1851.(This attempt failed due primarilytoIndian resistance). Fannin then directedhis attention towards founding a new settlement around present day Southlake rather than returning home again since this area appeared more promising based on information received thus far about these local resources.(It should be notedthat later eventswould clearly illustratejust how unsuccessful these attempts were). Southlake was founded in 1836 by a group of Texans who came to the area after the Mexican-American War. The town grew quickly, and by 1840 it had a population of over 100 people. In 1849, Southlake became the county seat ofDallas County, and soon began to grow rapidly as a farming community. By 1860, Southlake had over 1,000 people living in it. In 1865, Southlake was annexed by Dallas County and renamed Dallas. In 1930, Southlake was designated as part of the newly created city of Arlington Heights on land that once belonged to Dallas. The city quickly flourished, becoming one of the largest in Texas. In 1951, Arlington Heights was annexed into Dallas again and renamed Mavericks. In 2000, Cowboys Stadium (now AT&T Stadium) was built on site of the original Southlake courthouse which served as the town's central square for many years.
