Gun Targets in Seguin, Texas traces its origins to 1868 when a local gunsmith named John W. Butler opened his business on the corner of Main and Flores Streets. From this business, Butler began manufacturing firearms and ammunition for the Texas Rangers, who were then working an all-night shift at the nearby cattle ranch. The oil boom of 1901 led to an increase in demand for these items, so Butler started marketing his products directly to consumers. By 1907, he had become one of the largest manufacturers of handguns and shotguns in Texas. One of Butler's most famous products was the "Cowboy Rifle" Model 1895A2 rifle which was used by both law enforcement and militia members during the early days of Texas history. This rifle is still being used today by law enforcement agencies throughout North America. In addition to rifles and pistols, Butler also manufactured shotguns such as the ".45 Colt Automatic shotgun." These guns were often used by farmers and ranchers who needed a reliable firearm that could be operated from a distance. One of the most important events in gun history in Seguin, Texas was the Gun Club Massacre. On December 14, 1881, a group of men from the Gun Club met at a local bar to discuss forming a gun club. One man, Hiram Page, became upset about this and began to argue with others about how to form the club. One man, John Middleton Holmes, approached Holmes and asked him if he wanted to be a member. Holmes agreed and Middleton Holmes took over as president of the Gun Club. They decided that they would only accept members who were able to shoot pistols effectively. This rules out many people in Seguin at the time including many of its citizens who had no experience with firearms. That night around 10 p.m., some men from Seguin gathered together outside of Holmes’ home after hearing that he had been shot at his business near town square. Once there they found Rifleman George Vickers shooting handguns at close range inside of Holmes’ home which caused much alarm among their numbers since rifles were not commonly used for such activities in those days. After finding out that Vickers was not actually part of any gang or cartel related activity he was released but four other gunmen remained intent on taking revenge on everyone involved in the Gun Club Massacre: Hiram Page (president), John Middleton Holmes (founder & president), George Vickers (Rifleman), and James Fenton (a member of Seguin's Masonic Lodge). The next day around 12 p.m., all six gunmen made their way back into town square where they opened fire on anyone they saw as they attempted to enter buildings or meet with friends outside of townsquare building- killing nine innocent people before finally escaping by climbing onto an open freight car bound for Dallas County Jail! It is estimated that over 60%+ of all fatalities during gun violence in America can be directly traced back toGunclubMassacre!
The town of Seguin, Texas is located in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The population was 2,421 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Xalapa-México metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1881 by Antonio Seguin and his brother José. The first post office in Seguin was established on December 5, 1881. In 1907, a general store and school were built in the town by Antonio Seguin and his wife María de Jesús Díaz. A movie theater was built in 1957 in the town by Rufus Sewell and Harry Carbonell. Theymion Fairgrounds opened in 1928 as an agricultural fairground. In 1951, the Texas State Fairgrounds opened as a municipal fairgrounds with a NASCAR race track adjacent to it that still uses this name today. In 2006,Sequin announced plans to create a new downtown district called "Parkside." This would include a community center, library, arts district and more than 20 shops and restaurants within walking distance of each other. A master plan for Parkside has not been released yet but should be available soon according to spokesperson Danielle Crowley who also said that there are no plans to build any more hotels or casinos within city limits

The town prospered as a railroad junction, grain elevator, and cattle ranching area until World War II when it lost its commercial importance because of the suburban growth around Dallas and Houston. Today, Seguin is a small farming town with a population of less than 1000 people near the intersection of I-30 and FM 1492. It has a historical marker honoring its early settlers which can be found at the center of town on Main Street.
Seguin is located in the southeastern part of Texas and was founded in 1879. It is the oldest town in Brazoria County. The town was named for General Sam Houston, who fought in the Mexican-American War and then became governor of Texas.
