Seabrook, Texas is a small town in south-central Texas that lies on the banks of the Brazos River. The population was 1,041 at the 2010 census. Seabrook is located in McLennan County. The name "Seabrook" was given to the town by Captain James Cook during his trip through the area in 1779. The first settler in what is now Seabrook was John White in 1836 and he named it after his home island of Seaford, England. By 1853, there were ten families living in Seabrook with a total of twenty-one acres (0.8 km²). In 1881, J.M. Beighton purchased land from David Hogg for $1,000 and began building a sawmill on the riverbank across from present day Seabrook Elementary School. In 1902, Beighton donated fourteen acres (5 hectares) of land to build a Methodist Church which still stands today as part of First Baptist Church - Seabrook United Methodist Association Incorporated. In 1903, Beighton donated another fourteen acres (5 hectares) to erect a schoolhouse and church together on what is now Main Street - now called Beighton Drive - west of downtown Seabroookie. This schoolhouse still stands today and serves as the local public library's main branch office today! On July 16th 1907 Mrs Lillie Brawley gave birth to her only child at Home Place Hospital just east of downtown on Railroad Road - this baby girl later became known as Mrs Annie Oakley! Mrs Brawley had married John Aiken who resided just east of downtown at 4227 Elm Street back then! On October 2nd 1927 Mr & Mrs Aiken gave birth to their second daughter at Home Place Hospital also just east of downtown on Railroad Road opposite Cemetery Road! This beautiful little girl would later become known as Mrs Charlie Chaplin! The early 1900s were very tough for farmers due to various factors such as drought and disease; however during World War I veteran Elisha Sanger opened up his store right off Highway 287 near present day Interstate 35W which helped support many seaborne soldiers stationed here during that time period! Over time other businesses have popped up around here such as KFC (now Pizza Hut), ExxonMobil Refinery and many more since then; however it has always been an agricultural community with most residents farming rice, corn or other vegetables/crops growing along with some cattle ranching throughout these years too! Today's economy revolves around petroleum production capabilities with Frick Oil Corp., Marathon Oil Corporation and BP America all having operations here including both retail gasoline sales locations along with heavy oil production activities offshore currently taking place too! Today's population consists predominantly of retirees/working parents within commuting distance via various highways leading into townlimits like US 95/I-35W northbound & US 290 southbound while commercial activity continues albeit diminished overall due largely to age&economy restrictions etc.; however there are ongoing rumors circulating about possible annexation by neighboring towns such as Whitney or Palestine recently!!

Seabrook, Texas is located in the Panhandle of Texas and has been inhabited by Native Americans for over two centuries. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Seabrook were French traders, who named the area La Provincia de Santa Anna. The area was also known as Fort Neches, because Spanish soldiers established a post here in 1718. The first residents of what is now Seabrook began to settle here in 1848. They were people from Illinois, who had come down the Rio Grande River to find new land. Many of these settlers built homes on communal lands that they shared with other Native Americans. The town was founded on July 4th, 1848, by John Sappington and his family. Over time, Seabrook grew into a small community with a population of about 100 people. It became an important trade center for the region due to its location at the mouth of the Brazos River. In addition, it served as a stop on stagecoach routes between Dallas and Houston. In 1927, Seabrook was renamed after Samuel Aiken Seabrooke, one of its early settlers. At that time, it was the largest town in West Texas and had a population of around 1,000 people. However, by 1960s, Seabrook had shrunk to just 100 people and ceased to exist as an independent city entirely.
Seabrook was founded in 1876 by John Seabrook. It is the oldest community in Texas and Volusia County. The community has a population of over 4,000 people and is located on the Gulf of Mexico near Pensacola.
