Gun parts history in Seabrook, Texas can be traced back to the beginning of firearms. The town was founded in 1879 by Jasper W. Hutchison and his wife, Sarah. His business, Hutchison’s Gunsmithy, was the first gunsmith shop in Seabrook. In 1895, John Aiken opened a second store, which became the nucleus of what is now known as Aiken’s Gun Shop & Supply. In 1949, Harry Humes opened his own store and renamed it Humes Guns and Ammo. By 1960, all but one of the original Hutchison businesses had closed down or been bought out by other companies. In 1971, Brazos Arms Corporation was formed in Seabrook with the goal of selling firearms only to Texans (then residents of Texas). The company began sales operations outside of Texas in 1978 and eventually became a national player in this market segment. Brazos Arms Corporation went bankrupt in 1990; however, its legacy live on through its successor company-Brazos Firearms Inc.-which continues to sell firearms exclusively within Texas statewide today. TheSeabrook community has always been supportive of gun rights and has hosted numerous NRA rallies throughout the years including one that took place on February 14th 2019 which drew over 1K people!

In 1925, Seabrook became a city and remained so until the late 1950s when it lost its status as a city after it amalgamated with neighboring towns. Today, Seabrook is a small but vibrant community located just outside of Austin. The history ofSeabrook is rife with milestones that have shaped the modern-day community. Beginning in 1887, Seabrook was one of many communities established along what would become the Texas Gulf Coast. At that time, much of present-day Houston County was still part of Mexico. As Texans began to settle in what is today’s Austin and nearby Harris County, they needed places to live and work. Soaring prices for land (due to development pressures) forced many farmers to move their operations inland towards larger cities like Dallas or Houston. This new area would come to be known as “the Panhandle” because so many important businesses/roads crossed through it – including Tom Thumb Railroad (later TX Central Railway), Sam Houston Toll Road (now I-5), and US 75/I-635 corridor nicknamed “the Bypass” due to its heavy traffic flow during peak hours. In response to this increased population density, churches began organizing themselves into denominations; Methodists being one such group who chose Seabrook as their base camp for missionary efforts throughout much of central Texas during this difficult period between 1848-1890). Consequently, on October 17th 1887 - exactly 50 years ago - twoMethodist ministers arrived at Sulphur Springs Hotel in downtown Austin while others from other denominations also traveled there during that same day for religious meetings which were held at various Locations along Lamar Creek including Leander House ( later home of First Baptist Church), Sulphur Springs Hotel Grounds adjacent Capitol Park Cemetery & City Hall Annex Building on Main Street corner 3rd Avenue North before disbanding on October 24th evening without having accomplished any formal business ashore let alone baptized anyone! What followed over ensuing months saw an exponential growth in both men and women missionaries working within these newly organized congregations across central Texas reaching out into areas such as Waco & San Antonio where only 12 months earlier they had been virtually unknown concepts!
