The Seabrook Gun Mags store, located in the heart of Seabrook, Texas, has been serving the community since 1892. The store was started by Mr. and Mrs. Purdy and their son, John Purdy Sr., who cartridges were distributed to farmers throughout the area for use in shotguns. In 1902, the store became a firearms dealership and began selling rifles, shotguns and handguns. The store closed in 1958 but reopened in 1986 as a gun mags shop. Today, the Seabrook Gun Mags store continues to be one of the most populargun stores in town with its large selection of firearms and firearm accessories. The store is open 7 days a week from 9am to 6pm (except Sundays). They carry a wide variety of hunting rifles, shotguns and handguns including pistols, revolvers and riflespistols. The Seabrook Rifle and Pistolmagazine company was founded in 1907 by W.H. (Bill) Henson and Harry Hardesty, two veterans of World War I. The first issue of the magazine was published on October 1, 1907. The company changed its name to the Seabrook Rifle and Pistol Magazine Company in 1912. In 1916, the Seabrook Armory was opened, making it the first gunsmithing establishment west of the Texas line to perform full-time firearms production. From 1917 until 1921, Seabrook Arms produced ammunition for both World War I and World War II for use by U.S. Marines and other military personnel stationed in Europe and Asia Pacific countries such as Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand; these rounds were known as "Marine Ammunition" or "Majestic." In 1922, Bill Henson passed away leaving his son Harry Hardesty president of the company; he continued to run it until his death in 1951. In 1949, Don Easley became president of the company after becoming vice-president during Harry's tenure; he served until 1961 when Don's son Jay became president following Jay's father's death that year. At Jay Easley's retirement party at a restaurant near Dallas in 1987he remarked that if he had only known then what he knows now about reloading powder they would have been able to keep up with Federal ammo production during WWII In 1978 Johnnie Walker moved from Kansas City Missouri to Seabrook Texas with his wife Karen to start their own shop called Johnny Walker Firearms Incorporated which still exists today located north east of downtown Austin

The community was named after George Seabrook, an early settler in the area. The first post office opened in 1881 and remained open until 1907. Seabrook's first school was built in 1886 and it remains the only school still operating in Seabrook today. The community has experienced growth over time as its boundaries have expanded to include parts of Round Rock and Temple Hills. In 2007, Seabroook annexed portions of neighboring Temple Hills to form a new municipality with a population of 2,385 residents. This annexation increased the size of Seabrook by 25%. The economy around Seabrook is primarily based on agriculture which includes raising livestock and crops such as corn, soybeans, cotton, sugar beets and fruits trees. There are also a few businesses that operate within the local community including plumbing and carpentry services as well as two grocery stores which serve the needs of the local populace

Seabrook was founded in 1874 by Scottish immigrants, and became a coal town after opening mines near today's downtown. The city of Seabrook merged with neighboring Bedford in 1998 to form one municipality. The first settlers to arrive in what is now Seabrook were Scotsmen who came overland from Glasgow, Scotland in 1874. Coal mining started around here quickly and by 1880 it had become an important industry for the area. Today, coal mining remains an important part of the economy for this small community, which has seen some growth since its incorporation into one municipality in 1998. Today, many people come to live and work here because of its excellent schools - including three high school districts that areambers-ptaided together (Valley Central School District; Spring Branch Independent School District; and Tomball Independent School District), as well as several other smaller districts nearby that make up the seacoastal district surrounding Seabrook proper. In addition, there are plenty of businesses that rely on both tourism and local jobs throughout the year - making this a great place to be both locals and tourists!
