Seabrook, who served as a Commodore in the Union Navy during the American Civil War. The first store in the town was built on what is now East Broadway Street. In 1902, a post office was established in Seabrook and remained in operation until 1966. In 1907, the Seabrook School District was formed and it still operates today. In 1947, theSeabrook Independent School District merged with the Magnolia Independent School District to form the Magnolia-Seabrook School District. In 1957, a water tower was constructed in Seabroook to serve the community and it remains operational today.
