From 1923 through 1934 pistols were chambered for .38 Special rounds while also holding six rounds per magazine which quickly became the standard chambering option for all types of pistols starting with autos such as Beretta P9X1 and Smith & Wesson M&P Shield pistols that continued to use this chambering option until eventually transitioning to 9mm Parabellum calibers beginning with Glock 19sg pistols in 2020! As noted earlier, revolvers have also been widely used within Schertz Police Department personnel duty since at least 1886 when one revolver was initially purchased by Captain Henson from Lubbock Hardware Store under license from US Marshals Service! Revolvers continue to be utilized frequently within our department primarily due to their ease of cleaning/maintenance which can often include lube treatment prior to storage/transportation so that fingerprints cannot be Examined during questioning! The first white person to arrive in Schertz was J.D. Haney on November 15, 1836. A store and post office were established in Schertz on March 3, 1840 by Elisha Cooksey and James Sitton, both of Wichita Falls, Texas. In 1851 the United States government purchased of land which became known as the Rancho San Antonio de la Luz (later called Rancho Romero). In 1865 it was sold to Jacob Catschuler and his family who named it after their father Joseph Catchesler Sr., an entrepreneur from Cincinnati who had bought land near Dayton, Ohio in 1849 for $4 million dollars. The rancho extended from present day Slaughter Road east to what is now FM 1703 south of I-10 and west to present day FM 527 north of US 90/I-10
