Schertz is a town in Montgomery County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The economic engine for Schertz has been its small-town atmosphere and agricultural production for many years. However, over time firearms have become an important factor in the community's economy and culture. Families started using handguns to shoot rabbits in Schertz when there weren't any rifles around to hunt with. By 1892 there were over 30 pistols in the town and it was still mainly a rural community until World War II when guns began to come into play more as ammo became more scarce due to the war effort. At first people used shotguns but eventually handguns became predominant due to their easier use and being less likely to get jammed or Tripped on Mines while hunting game with them (as shotguns were). When NRA formed they got together with local farmers who had some land that they wanted protected from development. This group of people decided that they would start shooting off crops at night so that if someone came by after dark they could shoot them before they took anything away from them (this practice continues today through target Shooting events). As gun ownership increased throughout America this type of protectionism also grew stronger as well; making sure that property rights were upheld whenever someone wanted to own a firearm without government approval or regulation which eventually led to gun control laws being passed later on in America which made owning firearms much harder across all levels (although Target Shooting still takes place today without fear of violence)). In 1935 Johnnie Ray bought his first rifle which he used for target shooting competitions out near Montrose where he lived at the time. He soon realized that this type of competition wasn't something he could do every weekend like he wanted so he started selling his rifles( now known as Classic Archery) online which allowed him to travel around and compete against other Shooters from all over America( even today Classic Archery conducts tournaments all across America)). In 1963 pistol ccw permits were introduced into Texas allowing non-conforming citizens To possess handguns without prior state handgun licensing/ registration etc.. These permitting laws led directly into Gun Control Laws being passed later on in TX which prohibited anyone who wasn't licensed by state government from possessing firearms( although Classic Archery continues conduct tournaments WITHOUT LICENSE these days)). Today Chertz is home to many different types of businesses including several factories involved in manufacturing assault weapons such as Colt Magazines, Sturm Ruger & Co., Savage Arms, Glock Firearms Manufacturing Inc., S&W Tactical Solutions LLC., Smith & Wesson USA Corporation among others;; along with several restaurants including one called "Texas Flyin' BBQ" located just outside of town limits!

Schertz, Texas is a small town located in El Paso County, Texas. The population was 2,383 at the 2000 census. Schertz is located on the banks of the Arkansas River and has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: Cfa). The first European to visit Schertz was Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo in 1542. Spanish merchants established a trading post here in 1699. A mill built by James Waddell in 1827 became one of the early sources of grinding flour for food processing in Schertz and other towns around El Paso County. In 1886, Schertz had a population of 435 residents and it remained an agricultural center until after World War II when many families moved into Dallas or other large cities for work opportunities during the postwar period. In 1965, Schertz voters passed an initiative Authorizing Use of Sacred Stones as part of Town Center Development which resulted in the construction of two shopping centers- One downtown and one on FM 562 just east of Interstate 10 adjacent to Texas Southern University. These developments were soon followed by another shopping center-the largest ever built within town limits-on Broadway between I-10 and US 75 south of town Limits in 1978 which also included two multipurpose arenas/areas for use by both local high school sports teams as well as concerts and events sponsored by local businesses. An election held on November 4th, 2006 resulted in the re-election of Mayor Newell with 54% against 19% opposed by challenger Tom Koehler Jr.. Mayor Newell has been working energetically to improve community services while trying to maintain close relationship with neighboring communities including those located along I-10 just north of town limits where he also doubles as mayor pro tempore; acting mayor when key members are unavailable or unable to attend meetings; chairing committees; providing leadership for various city departments throughout his term up until his inauguration next month

Schertz, Texas is a small town in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,527 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. Schertz was founded on November 1, 1887 by German immigrants who named it "Schertz" after their home town of Schwetzingen in Bavaria. The first post office was established in Schertz on October 7, 1888. The community experienced modest growth until World War II when a large influx of Americans (mainly veterans) caused an increase in population and businesses. In 1948 the Schertz Chamber of Commerce organized what would become the Schertz Kiwanis Club which has been operational ever since. After years of service to the community, the club donated its building to the government for use as a school district fire station during the 1960s and 1970s but it reverted back to its original purpose as a clubhouse until 2002 when it was re-dedicated as the Schertz Historical Museum with exhibits about local history and culture. In 2006, entrepreneur Leland Keyser purchased most of what remains from business owner Emmett Hirsch'sWilliamson County Land Sales Company which had operated from 1903 to 1966 including land that now makes up much of downtown Schertz. With this purchase Keyser became one of only two people in Williamson County to own all or portions of every block in his planned city center development which became known as Downtown Schertz Incorporated (DOS). DOS plans call for downtown Schaetz to be ringed by high-end retail/entertainment districts that would include restaurants/bars/spas; an outdoor plaza reminiscent of Times Square; and new homesites overlooking Downtown Schaetz Incorporated with views into Downtown Schaetz itself or out onto Interstate 10 if desired
Schertz was founded in 1879 by John Schertz and his wife, Anna. The Schertz Post Office was established on July 1, 1881. In 1886, the Schertz School District was created. In 1907, the town of Schertz became a city.
