Scope mounts have been a part of the Santa Fe, Texas landscape for many years. The first scope mount was erected in 1892 by W.H. Hargrave and J.E. Morehouse on State Road 281 just east of town. The first rifle scope to be mounted on a tripod in Santa Fe was the .22 caliber Maxim Rifle Scope manufactured by Savage Arms Company in 1923. That same year, the Hughes Aircraft company becameSantaFe's first customer for a telescope system when they purchased two Maxim scopes from Savage and installed them on their B-25 Stratofortress bomber. In 1932, Mr. Calvin Akins erected the first "tilt-and-zoom" riflescope with four 52mm boresight lenses at his residence atop Oso Hill outside of town as a display piece for then Governor Price Daniel Boone and his family during their visit to Santa Fe County (now El Paso County). That same year, Mr. Akins also became one of the original owners and operators of what is now known as The Old Camera Store located downtown in what was then Suite 3506 of the City Hall Building; that store continued to operate until it was closed in 1984 due to fire damage caused by an arsonist who had been using its facilities to light fires within city limits while illegally smokes marijuana inside city limits! In 1944, Bill Post moved from his home near Interstate 10 north of town to what is now known as The Annexe located at 715 East Commerce Street within walking distance of most businesses in downtown Santa Fe; that annexe continued operations until it closed down in 2006 due to economic conditions following the oil price crash which impacted all aspects of Santa Fe economy including retail sales! In 1948, Harry Jorgensen erected the world's second true riflescope with eight 50mm boresight lenses at his ranch several miles northeast of downtown Santa Fe; that scope continued operation until it was dismantled and sold for scrap metal early this decade! In 1949, Fritz Lang built one entire 3D camera system utilizing movie cameras specifically made for use with riflescopes including three Cineflex Ultra HD Cameras each weighing over 20 lbs.; those systems were used extensively throughout Germany during World War II primarily aboard Battleship Prinz Eugen where they served as target ships providing live streaming video feeds back onto shorelines ashore so Allied commanders could observe German battles taking place directly offshore!!! In 1951, prior to becoming a full time business owner/operator at The Old Camera Store(now called Heritage Camera Gallery), Mr. Fritz Lang donated four Epson Colorama Color Cinema cameras which he had personally modified himself utilizing an old Russian Ilyushin Il-2 Airplane engine powering them allowing him direct control over shutter speeds & exposure depths making those films some of history's earliest color movies ever made!!! Those cameras still reside at Heritage Camera Gallery today operating under separate power supplies (& exposed film stocks) providing visitors with an intimate experience like no other available thru online photography!!! In the early days of Santa Fe, Texas, there were few if any permanent buildings. The town was founded in 1827 by a group of Texans led by Colonel James Bowie. The first post office was opened in 1830. In 1836, Santa Fe became the capital of New Mexico. The old adobe courthouse and jail were destroyed by a fire in 1846. A new courthouse was built, and the jail was moved to it in 1865. In 1912, the city passed an ordinance establishing a park system called "The Park." The first open space in what is now downtown Santa Fe was named "Fountain Park" after philanthropist Jeptha Fountain. It was donated to the city by Mrs. Fenton in that year. In 1916, Santa Fe granted its first charter as an incorporated city with full powers to make its own laws and levy its own taxes. In 1932, Mayor John Doolittle renamed downtown business district "The Square" after plans for a new high-rise development were defeated by City Council members vetoing the proposal because they felt it would conflict with existing business districts on First Avenue and Broadway
The Santa Fe city limits are situated in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, about 120 miles (193 km) northwest of Mexico City. The population of the city is 614,545 as of July 1, 2017. The municipality has a total area of 75 square miles (190 square km). Santa Fe first came about as a result of two purchases by American John D. Rockefeller in 1872 and 1873: Rancho Guadalupe and Rancho San Antonio de la Frontera. In 1875, Santa Fe was founded as the county seat for Nuevo León County after it was created from what had formerly been part of Santa Fé County. In 1907, the district office for the town was moved to Santa Fe and it became its own municipality on December 1, 1907. On October 15, 1912, a fire destroyed most of downtown Santa Fe with an estimated damage amounting to $2 million ($102 million in current dollars). The fire started when a defective gas heater caused sparks that ignited woodpiles used for heating oil in one of the business blocks known as "The Old Palace". Windows were shattered by this force alone and caught light; many women who were working nearsighted or with poor eyesight took refuge inside buildings and those inside unable to escape perished in what has come to be called “The Catastrophe” because no one could rebuild within days or weeks due to lack of materials and funds. In 1916–17 construction began on what is now known as Plaza de Mayo which served both as civic center and local courthouse until 1938 when it was replaced by the present building which still stands today across from City Hall

Santa Fe, Texas is a city located in the US state of New Mexico. It was founded by Spanish colonists in 1810 as La Plata. The city became a Mexican territory following their defeat in the Mexican–American War. Santa Fe was annexed to the United States as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848. As a result, Santa Fe lost its Mexican citizenship and became an American city under the jurisdiction of New Mexico Territory. The population increased rapidly during the early 20th century due to large-scale wagon trade between New Mexico and Arizona.] The origins of Santa Fe date back to 1810 when Spanish colonists arrived in what is now New Mexico Territory. They named their new settlement La Plata after the capital of Spain at that time, Madrid. In 1828, Santa Fe was renamed Ciudad de México after Emperor Agustín de Iturbide's decision to abandonMexico City following his victory over Napoleon Bonaparte at El Alamo.[1] However, because Mexicans did not have full independence from Spain until1821, this change did not reflect reality; Mexicans continued to call their town La Plata even though it lay within U S limits. In 1848, California Gold Rushers discovered gold near Las Vegas on November 12th; this triggered a massive influx of settlers into northeasternNew Mexico Territory which then included parts of what is now Albuquerque and Santa Fe County (N/A). On December 14th, two days after discovery (and just one day before San Francisco would be granted self-government), Captain Alonso Perez led his men upriver from Socorro through present-day Albuquerque and took possession of land eastward along Rio Grande Valley for $5 per acre ($20 million today).[2][3] Between December 14 & 16th 1850 local farmers had tested rich vein deposits totaling 1280 ounces (31 grams) when captain Perez returned with news that he had found no more gold but “considerable” quantities of silver [4]. After conferring with other officials he decided against further exploration because there wasn’t enough water or land accessible for mining operations outside central valley[5]: At first glance this may seem inexplicable since mostsilver being mined at this time came from Zacatecas Province where veins totaled 238 ounces (7 grams) per tonne! So how could such small amounts be worth so much money? One answer lies inCaptain Perez’s choice to mine using adit on Route 66 about 8 miles west(southwest corner)ofpresent day Albuquerque –anchoredonpointofastreambyarocky bluffknownasMountainshoulder.[6][7] There were several other adits nearby but CaptainPerez chose Mountainshoulder because its bedrock was easy to work with while also having several good prospectsforstrikegold[/8]. After successfullminingin1851 Captain Perez purchased another Interest inRioGrandeValleyfrom Pueblo Chieftain José Arguelles for $25 per acre ($400 million today). This operation yielded an additional 2200 ounces (.88 g/t) Of silver each month! ByMarch 5th,[10]1852CaptainPerezreceived word from President James Kenedy that sectionsofLosAlamos Island offthe GulfofMexicohad been acquired for$2million($40million today)[11], making it possibletobeginseriousminingthereafter([12]) which eventually led totransportationpurchasesofthe MainlandGoldfieldat Peñaranda(presentlyMendoza County)in1857($8 million today).[13],[14],[15],[16]). Despite these positive developments various problems persistedsuch As lengthy creation process needed for issuing deeds leading oftobankserviceprovidingonly rudimentary oversight;corruptionamonglawmakersresultingintradequalityoftheseedlawsawardingpropertyrightsetc.;unemployment rates remained high despite efforts by government planners [] Finally although progress was made southwestern New Mexico experienced limited Hispanic immigration until World War II
