Today there are several businesses located within condensed downtown areas including two banks (Ameritrade and First American), four restaurants/bars/cafés (Pueblo Aztec Grill & Coffee House; El Chaco; Dos Amigos Mexican Restaurant & Cantina; La Taqueria), thirteen shops (eight general stores and seven clothing stores), one library (the George Wirtz Library), one post office (the old Post Office Building on Broadway) and three public schools: Cathedral High School; Heard Elementary School; and Our Lady's school which serves grades pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. The city also offers several unique features such as its own golf course whose championship tournament takes place at San Miguel Golf Club every other year since 1978; a water park known as Atlantis Park which includes an Olympic size swimming pool with multiple dive platforms including a "Stingray" dive platform for Shark fishing enthusiasts; numerous art galleries throughout downtown which offer activities such as painting classes or sculpture demonstrations during regular hours or open studios during special events like car shows or music festivals.; various cultural events throughout the year all free or low cost such as Folklorico dances at Corpus Christi Catholic Church each winter while carnival rides operate throughout much of downtown complete with live entertainment nightly.; street fairs celebrating different cultures each summertime that include Native American basket weaving demonstrations at Albuquerque's North Valley Fairgrounds while Mexican cultureFest happens each fall at Midway Mall featuring traditional food booths from all over Mexico along with exhibits about local history
