Allied forces successfully drove out Mexican troops from much of Central Texas during these wars; however, sporadic outbreaks continued until 1840 when Mexico ceded all its remaining lands east of El Paso back to America following a peace treaty settlement known as Lobo Canyon Treaty (February 9th).
