In San Benito, Texas on Feb. 20, 1849, a man named George Washington was shot and killed by an Indian in what is now known as the Battle of San Benito Creek. The fight took place near present-day Hearn Road and Academy Boulevard.

These names are derived from local landmarks such as Kilpatrick Hill which overlooks downtown and Cohasset River which flows through it. Additionally, many buildings still bear Gaelic graffiti ornaments such as those found at St Columban’s Catholic Church on Main Street – one of only a few remaining examples in North America with this type of artwork dating back to before World War II!
