Gun pouches have been around since the early days of firearms. The first gun pouch was created by Captain Christopher Columbus in 1492 when he discovered new worlds. He placed a small bag filled with rocks and arrows inside his Columbus fur coat to carry them on his journey. This type of pouch continued to be used throughout the 1500s, as cannons and ammunition were not yet available in large quantities nor did they need to be transported between sites. In 1847, Major General James K. Polk issued orders that all guns must be put into cage-like containers called "pouch boats." This was done in order to keep gunmen from stealing equipment or ammunition from other troops during engagements. Rifle pouches became popular after the American Civil War because they allowed soldiers to carry more ammo while on horseback and prevented them from being robbed or captured by Confederate forces. After the end of World War II, many soldiers returned home with plenty of new rifles, but no Ammo Pouches! A major change took place when President Harry S Truman signed Executive Order 9981 on December 5, 1946 which required all handguns (with at least six rounds) manufactured before that date to be installed with magazine clips carrying 50 rounds each instead of the current 20 rounds per clip for those handguns already manufactured after that date. Many people believe that Pistol Pouches originated with canoes used by Native Americans for hunting big game such as deer and bear. These pouches would hold various items such as spears, knives, bows and arrows, etc., necessary for successful hunts. When white settlers learned about this type of activity they began using these same types of pouches for protection against Indian raids until finally giving away most weapons in 1865 following a treaty agreement between America and Great Britain known as the Sand Creek Massacre which killed 7 hundred unarmed women, children and men over a peaceful demand for water rights

Saginaw, Texas is a city in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 797 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Midland County. Saginaw's economy is based on manufacturing and other heavy industry. The city has a large percentage of Mexican American residents and also has sizable populations of African Americans, Native Americans, Asians, and gays and lesbians. The town began as a small frontier post near today's Saginaw Township in 1836 by John Witherspoon with 36 pioneers under his command. The post served as a stop on the Santa Fe Trail before it was abandoned in 1839 when Brigham Young moved his army from Nauvoo to what is now Missouri to fight for the new Mormon church. Witherspoon built Fort Washburn on land he acquired south of present-day Saginaw Boulevard in 1840 but never occupied because he died just days after its completion. In 1845, General James Hogg founded Midland Depot here with 4 stores and 30 employees providing transportation for goods arriving at Midland through theichita Mountains corridor connecting Kansas City to Wichita then eastward to St Louis via Chicago. In 1836, Mexico ceded Sabine County to the United States after a series of Mexican-American wars that ended with American victory over Mexico at San Jacinto Court House on July 6, 1836. The area now known as Saginaw was part of Sabine County until 1872 when it was included within Cass County (later Baylor County). In 1907, Saginaw filed for incorporation as a municipality. On April 5, 1907, it became an independent city under the laws of Texas A&M University which had been founded two years earlier by John Denton and Jeptha Moulton Chandler Jr.. When A&M vacated its main campus east of downtown to build their own main campus west of downtown in 1949–1950, most services including municipal government were transferred to this new campus while still retaining some eastern portions inside the old Main Campus boundaries (the present day US 79 corridor between US 79/old US 79 interchange and Lamar Boulevard)). On November 3rd 1978 Mayor Donnie McClendon announced that annexation plans for much of rural Cass County had been abandoned due to lack of support from residents there; however annexation plans for portions located north and east of what is now Saginaw are still alive and well today because those areas are currently served by McIntosh Independent School District which falls within HidalgoCounty’s borders but is not considered part of SabineCounty or McLennan County proper so annexation would not be possible without voter approval.). Sabine & McLennan Counties have both passed resolutions supporting annexations into Hidalgo county proper however no action has been taken yet!
