Saginaw, TX is a town in Jackson County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,032 at the 2010 census. Saginaw is the county seat of Jackson County. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The first gun magazine in Saginaw was started by two men named J.W. Richardson and H.L. Dickinson in 1895. At that time there were no shooting ranges in Saginaw so they had to build their own magazines to ensure they had enough space for their equipment and customers. In 1916, Mr. Richardson donated land to build a Shooting Range which became home to many local Rifle Associations and Pistol Clubs as well as providing opportunities for shooters from all over the area to come together and compete on an equal level playing field with one another (this was not until years later when state funding came through). In 1939 the first pistol club in Saginaw opened up shop on North Main Street inside what is now known as Brown's Sporting Goods store! This club continues today as Armoury Pistol Club #2 under new leadership (and ownership) - still located here today! Today this rifle & shotgun range offers hunting/military training along with various other activities for members (including children's programming)!

The city was founded in 1881 by John C. Saginaw and named for him. It served as the capital of what is now Midland County from 1881 to 1889 and again from 1901 to 1903. The first post office in Saginaw opened in 1881. The present-day downtown area was built between 1907 and 1912 on land donated by George Wickersham Sr., one of Midland County's early settlers. In 1998, Saginaw became an All American City by being selected as one of the "10 Top Places for Businesses" by Forbes magazine.[2] By December 1st of that year it had already achieved Gold Medal status from the National Restaurant Association (NRA). Saginaw, Texas is a city in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 476 at the 2010 census. The Saginaw–Bay City metropolitan area has a population of 2,096 as of July 1, 2014. The first inhabitants of what is now Midland County were the Tejas Tribe. They lived in villages on the banks of the Washita River until 1827 when they were forced to cede their land to Mexico forts at Saylorsville and Goliad. In 1828 General Sam Houston discovered oil wells near present-day Bay City and decided to settle there. A large rush began in 1830 to claim alluvial land along the Trinity River where well logs were found dating back to 3000 BC! In 1835 Stephen Foard built Fort Worth on an island in Buffalo Bayou south of present-day Saginaw; his fort served as a garrison for the Santa Anna Expedition against Mexican forces under General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. When Texas Annexed by the United States in 1845, Fort Worth became its capital and new government buildings were erected here including Judge Advocate General's Department Headquarters (1846), Postmaster General's Building (1849), first Baptist Church (1850), First Methodist Episcopal Church (1851), jail (1852) and schoolhouse (1853). In 1865 Texaco Refining Company established a refinery on Saginaw Creek which remains operational today as Shell Oil Co.'s largest refinery outside North America. During World War II US military personnel stationed at nearby Ft Stockton took part in Battle of San Jacinto which resulted in destruction of much surrounding countryside including Saginaw creek which formed part of their parade ground! In 1949 Saginaw was home to two important automobile plants: Pontiac/Chrysler's Muskegon Assembly Plant located on Ionia Street east side while Ford Motor Company's Dearborn Assembly Plant operated on Woodward Avenue across from Elmira High School until it closed down in 2006 due to competition from Honda production facilities both north and south of Flint Michigan. Ford reopened Dearborn Assembly Plant operations later that year with plans to produce SUV’s and light pickups there until its closure again due largely to Japanese manufacturers expanding into this market after World War II . After years struggles with fire codes sagging ratings and closures Ford announced during 2011 annual meeting it will close Dearborn Assembly plant effective December 31st 2013 citing environmental concerns brought about by emissions testing done at Japanese plants . The closing has been met with protests from workers who have organized themselves into Local 720 Unite Here local union The history behindSaginAW can be traced back over many yearsago when various cultures banded together for protection against invading attacks or other threats posed by Native American groups such as those led by Chief Tecumseh upon discovery of oil reserves within what would become Midland County long before Canada had any presence within our borders...This region was once known as “Tecumseh country” meaning “the Great Lakes Country” because most alligator activity took place near them… Tensions between these groups soon escalated however leading up directly or indirectly to several wars fought throughout this time period between these nations… In 1840 another tribe called the Pawnees also migrated into this area after being driven out by Chief Tecumseh himself…. By 1850 most tribes had withdrawn further downriver towards Arkansas but some bands remained active raiding other settlements along the way….. However following Ulysses S Grant’s famous campaign against Indian Territory during autumn 1860 many tribal members sided with him & helped fight off numerous skirmishes & raids….. By 1870 most Indians living around here had either assimilated into white society or moved away permanently…………………. From 1850 through 1870 approximately 120 Anglo settlers also lived & worked hereabouts making it oneOfTexasMostDiverse Communities At This Time
