The first set of binoculars were made by Dr. George Kapp and Mr. A.C. Smith for use by farmers in the nearby township of Unionville. These early binoculars were made from wood with a band around the focus wheel to help keep them on target. By 1892, there were more than 20 businesses in the town selling binoculars and telescopes, most of which were located along Main Street between 6th and 7th Streets east of the railroad tracks. Businesses in this downtown area included stores such as Butler & Sons Optics store, J & B Glass shop, Rufus Wessel’s Fairsinger’s grocery store, Gopher Photographic store and John Ladd’s photographic equipment store. In 1912, Carl Zeiss produced their first pair of glasses for use withbinoculars and became very popular because they offered extreme magnification even when worn close to your eyes like those used today with digital cameras! This led to other manufactures producing similar products over time such as Bushnell who introduced their Serie II line of spotting scopes in 1925 followed by Stevens who developed his “Wind lines” series of optics starting in 1929 that featured true 3-D cross-sectional images on both sides (later becoming known as CCD technology). In 1937, defendant Brownson began manufacturing high quality Chinese designed eyeglasses called “Binoculo” which soon replaced all other types of eye glasses within our country!
Sachse, Texas is a small town located in the eastern part of Texas. It lies on the banks of the Sabine River, about thirty-six miles east of Dallas and forty-eight miles northwest of Houston. The population was 7,000 at the 2010 census. Sachse is one of several small towns that make up the Johnson County Micropolitan Statistical Area. The Sabine River forms much of Sachse's border with Johnson County to the north and west, while other rivers provide water for local agriculture to the south and east. The downtown core contains a few businesses and two schools - Sachse High School (a ninth grade school) and South Central Middle School (11th grade). According to the 2000 census, there were 535 people in Sachse; 327 were male and 298 female. There are also 16 children under six years old living in Sachse. Sachse began as a post office in 1879; it was renamed for German immigrant Andreas Sachs after he donated land for a courthouse in 1903. The first store opened in 1898, making it one of very fewically rural communities in Johnson County at that time. By 1950, there were only twelve businesses remaining in town - four stores, three restaurants, one barbershop/ beauty salon, two churches (one Methodist), one bank and one seminary (Texas A&M University). In 1990 alone, five new businesses opened: an auto parts store, an agricultural dealership/pumpkin farm/grocery store chain called Old Grits & More Next Door., a bakery called Mama's Place Bake Shop(), and a hair salon called Sturdy Haircuts (). In addition to its economy baseoffservices such as retail trade services supplemented by professional or hobby services such as carpentry or woodworking; farming provides vital needs like food for locals' families and generates income from crops grown on family owned land which can be sold back into cash flow through additional production activities such as raising livestock or leasing land for grain storage or development purposes; tourism has been increasing over recent decades dueto changes brought about by oil exploration (), automobile manufacturing (), energy resources () and technological advances (). Sachse, Texas is a city in Johnson County, Texas, United States. The population was 511 at the 2010 census. Sachse was founded in 1868 by German immigrants as "Allendorf". In 1907, it became the second community in Johnson County to be incorporated as a city. Sachse served as the county seat from 1907 until its move to Tyler in 1915. The first post office in Sachse was established on November 3, 1868, and remained open until January 1, 1870. It was then renamed "Allendorf". A store and trading post were established at Allendorf on December 15, 1871; this post office continued operation until February 17th of that year. On March 10th of that year, an election was held for mayor and town trustees; George Sattler won all three elections with more than eighty percent of the vote. The first school building in Sachse was built on May 4th of 1872 by German immigrant Johann Kappeau. It burned down seven years later but brand new construction began on July 11th of 1886 which would last until 1896 when another fire destroyed the original school building again (this time lasting six months). On October 6th 1888 machinery arrived from Germany to start up a cotton gin plant called "Gossen & Muller" which would help contribute significantly to SachSE's growth over the next few decades- both physically and economically. In 1915, after years of planning and fundraising spearheaded by Mayor John Gossett (pictured right), Johnson County Consolidated School District No 2 moved from Austin to Sachse after officials realized that Tyler had become too populous for their needs alone. By 1916 there were over 1000 students attending local schools while Tyler only housed 500 students maxing out their space available which didn't even include East Side Elementary School which opened its doors just four years prior! With so many people moving into town combined with better transportation optionsavailable thanks to World War I efforts such as building Cimarron Dam across the river (which proved very beneficial for agricultural production), things quickly started looking up for Sachse residents who eagerly embraced their newly found city status quo! nickname: "Sachs" or "Sachsenhausen" due to its location smack dab between two major railroad crossings known locally as 'Haus Platte' or 'Platz der schwarzen Pferde'. This moniker stuck around long after annexation because it referred not just to our downtown area but also all aspects associated with it- such as our huge canteen/grocery store/bank/mechanic supply shop etc.- making us one big happy family!
