ROUND ROCK, Texas (July 15, 1876) is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of Williamson County. The population was 1,643 at the 2010 census. It is located in the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area. The town began as an unincorporated community near Austin on May 16, 1879, by two men named John A. Cowan and David Hockaday.Cowan had been a surveyor for the Republic of Texas before coming to Austin in 1875 to help map out its boundaries. He organized what would become Round Rock as a town on May 16,1879 with fifty-six residents: twenty-five men and twenty-five women. The name was chosen to represent both its position surrounded by ranchlands and its round shape – similar to those found in Europe where "round rock" was used for miles around rural villages that housed cattle barns, churches and other buildings that looked like rocks from a distance but were actually built fromadobe or mud bricks). As Round Rock grew it began annexing neighboring communities such as Slaughtertown (now Slaughterburg), Hillsboro (now Georgetown) and Cedar Creek (now Cedar Park). By 1912 it had acquired over 200 acres of land adjoining San Antonio which formed the nucleus of today's downtown area. On January 24, 1907, Round Rock approved Resolution No. 746 authorizing annexation by San Antonio which resulted in municipal incorporation on February 3 that same year with a population of 449 residents including ninety-one citizens of Round Rock who immediately voted to incorporate their own city government separate from San Antonio's without any prior discussion or vote leading up to this event." This action solidified RoundRock's relationship with San Antonio while also creating new opportunities for economic development as businesses within city limits could now be taxed more heavily than those outside the bounds of the municipality

There is no one answer to the question of how many times a gun has been choked. However, data from FBI crime reports suggests that choke guns are used in an average of once every ten years. Round Rock, Texas is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 653 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Williamson County. The first permanent European settlers in what is now Round Rock were two families from Illinois, who named their land "Round Rock" after a roundabout on the Santa Fe Trail they had seen while travelling through New Mexico. In 1839, General Sam Houston founded an army to drive Mexican forces out of Nacogdoches Parish and into Travis County (later Robertson County), then part of Mexico. On February 14, 1840 Houston's army defeated Mexican general Mariano Armijo at San Jacinto Valley nearpresent- Round Rock; this event became known as the Alamo victory. One ofHouston's officers, Colonel James Bowie (1807-1875), supervised construction of the present downtown area around Post Oak Creek and Brazoria Street between 1850 and 1860. Bowie was also responsible for designing many important public buildings including the First Baptist Church (1860) and Richardson Hall (1901). In 1870, RoundRock incorporated as a city under state law because it felt its location made it too isolated to continue operating as an unincorporated community. In 1907 Judge Alfred Bearden designed one of America's earliest skyscrapers—the Bearden Building—in downtown RoundRock which still stands today as one of central business districts in Austin TX! It wasn't until 1910 that railroad developers purchased what are now portions of Main Street eastward from University Avenue for use as tracks for their new line from Austin to Dallas/Fort Worth viaRoundrock – later called the American Pacific Railroad . This development led to early growth in downtown roundrock with many shops and restaurants opening up along Main Street during this time period including Joe's Pub & Grill (), Atlantic City Diner (), Buffalo Bill's Barbecue () etc.). Many businesses opened up during this time due to technological advances such as automobiles which allowed people within easy driving distance to purchase goods they wouldn't be able to find or afford elsewhere

The first known permanent European settlement in what is now Round Rock, Texas was a group of French colonists who named their new town Saint-Antoine de la Galerie in 1786. The land on which the current Round Rock was founded was purchased from the Tejas Indian tribe in 1805 by Colonel James Bowie and his men during the Mexican-American War. The town was chartered on October 14, 1836, by Governor Mirabeau B. Lamar and named for General Antonio López de Santa Anna, Commander of Mexican forces in Texas. Bowie's original Townsite Plan called for a single square mile (1 km2) of land within the present-day city limits and included only one street, Brazos Street. In 1850, Bowie's heirs sold part of Round Rock to John Neely Bryan and formed Baylor University.
