In 1909, the original school building burned down and an addition was built on the same site; it served as both a school and church until 1951 when it closed due to lack of funding. In 1916, Rosenberg married Marjorie Kennedy of San Antonio with whom he had six children: Mrs. John Fenton Rosenberg (1917-2006), Mrs. Lee Kapp Rutherford (born 1942), Drs., Ruth Ellen Stevenson (born 1945), James Avery Rosenberg (born 1951), Kenneth David Rosenwald (born 1957). In 1956 the community voted to change its name to "Johnstown" because of popular demand following the assassination of President John Fetterman in Dallas by Paul Revere while riding his horse across the Mexican border into Texas that year. On November 9thudged local legend that residents woke up early that morning to see a UFO landing near their townspeople's homes; subsequent investigations revealed no evidence to support this claim whatsoever and no UFOs have been sighted or reported in any other part of Texas during those years
